I think Etienne will go on to have a solid CFL career but as the above poster mentioned I think he suffered a fairly severe concussion in that Sask. game just as he was starting to find his groove. As for Kelly could well be that Max Hall had better chemistry working with Denmark and Edwards. I don't see any reason to cut the guy at least bring him into TC and let him compete for the position. Can't always blame the receiver if the ball isn't going their way. Look how Denmark transformed himself last year, if the Bombers hadn't shown patience he'd be playing on a rival team now.

I'm afraid the good old CFL has been relegated to 3rd page news in most cities now and the only places it's still front and center is Wpg., Sask. and Edmonton and I'm not all that sure about Edmonton anymore. It would be great if the CFL could put a team in the Maritimes as that population still seems to cherish their Canadian identities.

That's insane. Another thing I find insane is Canadians purchasing Budweiser beer when the quality and selection of Canadian beer produced by micro-breweries is fantastic and often cheaper than that over hyped after wash. Brainwashing en masse is alive and well.

Eventually the CFL has to catch on to the fact that they should be generating press year round and not running their business like a summer ice cream stand. At least I hope they will.

The apathy in Calgary shows in the stands even with a winning team and a bigger base population in Southern Alberta the Bombers still outdraw them. I think Calgary has caught a bit of the T.O. disease thinking the CFL is a rinky dink league not worthy of their attention. Another factor is that there are so many new people in Calgary drawn by the economic opportunities that they have no historical connection to the city or the Stampeders. The old time Stampeder fans are a loyal bunch but they are old and dwindling.

The potential to lose any of these picks to the NFL has to be a major consideration when drafting and I could see 5 or 6 of this group having that opportunity all offensive and defensive linemen. Really puts a damper on the process when picking the best player available can potentially add zilch to the team. It would be great if the NFL had the goodwill to compensate CFL teams when they steal away their draft picks.

One positive is that the Bombers are massively rebuilding and Etch has the luxury of picking players that fit with his defensive scheme instead of dealing with players that are already locked in place. I have a hunch this may not work out as bad as many might predict and I think we've already seen "his hand" in some of the recent signings and cuts.

Great. The Bombers have hired the Moe Norman of football. I'm hoping O'Shea will contain this guy somewhat and not let him run wild. The opposing players may not be able to recognize his defensive schemes at first but it'll only take opposing coaches a few games to exploit the weaknesses presented. He thinks he's a mastermind but doesn't have a convincing record to prove it.

I wonder if the title "Overseer" means that along with this job he has other obligations in other places and will be allowed to come and go as he sees fit. Wouldn't be surprised if he isn't on the sidelines for every game. Maybe that's why it took them so long to work out the details of his contract.

I gave up on acquiring Wylie long ago. What leads you to believe he has any interest in coming to Wpg. at this point?

So far O'Shea's star power to attract coaches or players has been less than impressive. I thought he might have gotten Jason Maas for QB coach or brought over McCune at LB but I doubt that is going to happen now. He is starting his head coaching career on the ground floor with a brand new support group, hoping for the best but we'll see how he does.

Two things are indisputable. 1. Henoc is never coming back. 2. Cauchy is never going to be a good player.

I'm a Max Hall fan as well and admired the football smarts and grit he demonstrated last season. I think he may surprise a lot of fans in TC coming in as the underdog but I think Walters already knows his value referring to recent comments he made. I'm positive Max has a future in the CFL but just hope it is with the Bombers. In regard to the last Hamilton game Hall had bruised ribs and could not throw properly and shouldn't even have been playing. At that point Burke had already thrown Goltz in the doghouse and didn't have the courage to put Boltus in under any circumstance.

I can not recall where I read it, but reportedly Harris wants to be here full time, I suppose a lot will depend on how BC uses him this year. Last year he was none too happy with how the offense was run. I heard he has a gf/wife and kid in New Bothwell (small town near Steinbach) and he spends his off-seasons there? Nope, yer talking about Vic Toews.

Great news that a QB coach is still part of the plan. Looks like no RB coach this season. That would be a low totem pole priority for me. Here's the ball, now run for your life!

Happy to see McCune land in Wpg. If Wally is to believed the trending in the CFL West is to the running game and McCune would be a good antidote to that type of attack. Don't forget this is a guy with a couple of well earned nicknames. Robert "The Hammer" McCune and "Mad Dog". It's been a long time since an individual Bomber player earned a nickname, can't recall anyone since "Blink"....so it's trending right.

I noticed late last season when TSN made the format change to V.O.D. that the CFL games began to show commercial content. Maybe this is they're long term thinking.. Before that it was really nice without the commercials could watch an entire game in about 85 minutes.
