I think Johnny Adams has made the team so I would expect one of Bucknor, Bruce Johnson or Unamba could be cut from last years squad.

Earlier CFL season gaining traction

-10 and with the wind chill it ranged from -17 to -19 Apparently I'm a pansy Preferable to being a weather nerd! -
Online link to the Als game is on the front page of TSN.ca website. I'm Stateside and TSN video won't play down here. The second game is on ESPN3 though so it'll be a good night. I'm more or less in the same boat as I'm basically off-grid. Would recommend keeping your eye on the following site for game day threads until a few reliable streaming sites are established. http://www.reddit.com/r/CFL/

Can't really blame him, he has to make hay while the sun shines in any way that he can. In a short time the spot light will move on, likely never to return. Sam is already on the outskirts of a football career, hope he picked up some book learnin' along the way.

Speaking of Suber, whatever happened to the other mighty midget Marty Markett?

Let's hope he can continue this in game action when the danger level is raised. -
Earlier CFL season gaining traction

The drop off in attendance is also exacerbated by televised games and having the option of watching the game from the comfort of the living room instead of freezing your ass off. -
Dirty bugger!

He's just another player, no different than the multitude of others that will be cut in the next few weeks. Too much attention has been directed his way already.

Yup. Looks like Cronk will be the long snapper Rempel is still here. We shall see. Nothing to see, surprised Cronk is still here. What added value does he bring other than backup L.S.? I am honestly not sure but I don't see Rempel bringing a lot to the table outside of long snapper either. Cronk is 27, Rempel is 33. If Cronk can do the job well you gotta think age would be on his side. I think it's a given that they brought Remple in to start. I honestly don't want to see him involved in any other activity that could injure him including riding in a car.

Earlier CFL season gaining traction

Glad this conversation has received it's "official" start, there will be complications like the draft but I believe the benefits outweigh the negatives and I expect the CFL to implement the earlier start within a few seasons. League wide, colder weather equates to large number of no-shows and poor walk-ups which hurts concession and merchandise sales. -
Calgary Stampeders President Gordon Norrie made the following statement. “There’s actual traction at the league level,” Norrie said this week. “It’s pretty much unanimous amongst the teams. We’re working with a couple of our partners that also have a stake in it, namely TSN, so it’s still very much at the top of the priorities of all the teams. “For the most part right now, the topic is ending the season sooner. Once we get everybody involved that has an issue or has a stake in it, then we’ll start to work out the details.” While the players are fine with earning a paycheque in any type of weather, the changes are being looked at with the fans in mind.

I don't know about that...I can't move like that...can you move like that?

Ever notice that the nations that exaggerate that behaviour don't play much hockey?

...only one of them will truly be at ease when driving thru the US? I didn't expect anything of him other than to be this year's Jordan Brescacin. Sounds like he's jumped way over that bar. Really looking forward to next Friday. Couldn't get a working feed for the Argo game and I want to see our 2015 NI's in action. No worries, the 47 seconds of TSN highlights from the Argo's game present a comprehensive analysis of the Bombers roster to date.

Interesting that Willy has requested Marcel direct the offence from field level this year instead of the box. I would think that this is a positive step and that Willy will contribute more to the play calling this year instead of just following marching orders from above. Who was the best coach for interviews?
Fatty Liver replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Dave Ritchie, for the entertainment value alone. Also liked Cal Murphy for telling it like it was, no holds barred. -
I fear that Marcel sees Brohm as a Willy clone that can fill in and run the same style offence if Willy goes down. My preference would be to have a QB with a complete different skill set so that he can be used when necessary to kick start the offence when it sputters. If opposing teams can shut down Willy there's not much hope that Brohm can do any better running the same plays. I don't think O'Shea will change his M.O. from last season, so I expect that he will continue to trot out Willy until Willy no can go. Even if they encounter a skid I think he will continue to by-pass opportunities to salvage victories along the way by ignoring the talent of his bullpen. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm now wondering if Pontbriand survives this T.C., as I've not heard his name mentioned even once. Making room for the new draft picks and moving on from players that have had a few years to develop but have not progressed seems to be a workable plan.

That's a shame, would have liked to see other teams keep crappy players around. That's why I am hoping Cauchy hangs on as starting safety in Edmonton. It will be fun to watch him bounce off of Tuinei as he lopes into the end zone. To Cauchy's credit he is very agile, he's able to avoid colliding with opposition players quite well.

After extensive review of the 47 seconds of film I have had access to for this entire pre-season, I conclude that my opinion on the subject matter is meaningless.

To quote the Who. I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it ... (You can't have it!)

Preseason - Game One - WPG @ TOR
Fatty Liver replied to voodoochylde's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Tuinei has CFL experience and has excelled at times, this is a huge advantage imo. No learning curve for him. Then it would seem to me that he ought to stand out in the exhibition games, yes? Yes, he made a good play on his TD. Thus he stood out.
