  1. Taken from the world wide web:

'Coyotes can out-pace roadrunners substantially, clocking up to ~43 miles per hour, compared to the roadrunners ~20 miles per hour.'

Grew up on bugs bunny roadrunner hour. Childhood all a farce.

Leafs suck (just to ensure I'm keeping on point in this thread).

Chad sounds like the stereotypically "Chad".

That being said as annoying and stupid as he is,  I don't see enough based on what is written in the article to throw the books at the guy.  Sounds like a cocky athlete with a bruised ego who threw a hissy fit.     While embarrassing ,  it's not criminal.

What the actual *uck are you saying here?

Jeebus I hate the internet. Yea I get it, if I don't like it, don't read it. Great, thanks for the advice.

I wonder if Dunk steps back from 3DN. Covering a team you now work for could be a bit of an issue.

In other news, Argo's suck, CK not a guy I would like representing an organization I love and adore but hey I just live in an echo chamber not willing to listen to the one argo fan's 'perspective'.

  4. When Nashville clinches a playoff spot expect another banner to be raised slowly to the rafters in Bridgestone Arena while Pred fans place their cowboy hats over their hearts with tears streaming down their faces to commemorate this great accomplishment.

(insert appropriate beating a horse to death gif)

  5. Excerpt taken from a story from the Hockey Writers (Kings: What’s Behind Pierre-Luc Dubois’ Struggles This Season?) by Michael Ostrower:

    Finding a Groove

A challenge in being on three teams in four seasons is finding chemistry with linemates. He has had to learn three different systems while having multiple head coaches who put him in dozens of different line combinations. This has especially been a challenge this season for the Kings, as he has had two head coaches and has yet to play in any line combination that has spent over 165 minutes together.

So far this season, Dubois has spent 164.4 minutes with Kevin Fiala and Alex Laferriere, 129.8 with Laferriere and Arthur Kaliyev, and 107.1 with Laferriere and Carl Grundstrom. To look at those numbers and think Dubois is entirely to blame for his inconsistency is foolish, as it is impossible to get accustomed to a new city, facility, team, and system when you have inconsistent linemates and coaching. He has spent time across the lineup, too, playing as a first-line scorer and a third-line checker, and every role in between. He is a dominant offensive force when utilized correctly, it is just time for his head coach to see that.

I'm pretty confident this article was actually written by PLD.

Phone call to the Hockey Writers: Hi, I'd like to speak to Michael Ostrower.

    HW: I'm sorry, who?

    Caller: Michael Ostrower?

HW: Nope, no one here by that name.

  6. From Rick Dhaliwal:

'Elliotte Friedman on Elias Lindholm injury : I heard a rumor he might not play the rest of the regular season but multiple people told me I shouldn't go with that'.

I find this such a non-statement say something just to say something from EF.

Many TSN turning points but the short handed 3v1 the Flames had on the Jets PP that would have tied it was key as Helle came up big.

There's a lot of "we won last night!" glossing over what's been a particularly bad stretch for the Jets. Gotta remember Calgary is AWFUL, and for stretches last night, the fLames badly outplayed and outworked the Jets. That's concerning when viewed with the rest of the last 10ish games. I'm personally hoping that it was just a lot of illness going through the room and they get on the wagon just as playoffs are starting. Run a heater for a couple months...

Or call up the AHL team and play LB till post season starts. 🙂

Kidding but a balance of trying to keep some momentum heading into the playoffs and resting some players that badly need it would be ideal.

Laurent Brossoit named Jets Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy nominee, which goes to the player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship, dedication to hockey

I have a feeling he's in for a big payday next season with another team.

  9. After those horrendous clearing attempt fails by NS against Ottawa that led to BT's winner (yes still fresh in my mind), I don't mind seeing Miller check-in for him.

Here's hoping we see some of that earlier season mojo make an appearance with our Jets tonight.

Don't count on Tom Wilson playing against the Jets.

Excerpt taken from David Alter The Hockey News:

"Tough part for me is, he doesn't miss a shift. And I'm gone for six games," Wilson lamented. "It's a tough pill to swallow and when that's the case, it felt like a long time. So obviously, I've got to control my stick better and that doesn't happen. But I think he knew right away it was an accident. There was no intent behind the play. So for six games with a play that there's no intent behind, it's tough."

I'm wondering if TW at least acknowledges a contributing factor to this most recent suspension is he's a repeat offender (now six suspensions) with a propensity for violence on the ice? Once a mistake twice a trend so to speak.

I find guys like Wilson and Hartman sometimes demonstrate very limited self-awareness.

Is this the same Ryan Hartman who claimed his cheap, dangerous , illegal hit on an unsuspecting vulnerable Ehlers was clean hard hit? The same one?

Ryan Hartman is the LOL of this league. He's a guy who probably thinks he plays on the line, thinks he's gritty he's tough.

    No he's a moron.

In retrospect the 2022 game was still the bigger piss off.
23 Montreal was on a roll. Bombers still should have won, but it happens.

22 was lost simply due to completely avoidable mistakes. Legghio’s miss and that bloody stupid call on the Prukop pass.

I can get past the most recent one but 2022 is up there with 2001 and the 08 ESF as the losses I’ll never get over as a fan.

Yup but at least we made the show 4 times in a row, hopefully a nice round 5 coming up with a big W to wrap it up with.

  13. I watched the full game against the Sens. The team looked lost. No flow, no energy, disjointed. Polar opposite of the games I watched where they went into Vancouver and New York some games ago and took care of business.

They’ve lost their mojo. How do you correct that?
