Once again as usual Jets overall getting no consistent respect in the hockey pundit world. They'll say the Jets are impressive but until they make some noise in the playoffs pretenders label remains intact.
I get it, I agree the Jets badly need to go deep into the playoffs to change that label but on the other hand show a bit more respect than Jets are doing well top of the league but lets get back to the Leafs.
Imagine if the Leafs were top of the league for most of the season ugh the noise moreso then the high level of noise already would be unbearable. They'd be mapping out the SC route and suggesting everyone else is playing for second.
Yes, its the market, blah blah blah.
Come playoff time, smaller speed skilled players like Ehlers, Connor, CF are going to have half the space they're use to doing their thing in regular season.
Time to amp it up, find a way to get er done (been in Alberta way too long 🙂).
Worst case scenario from a defensive point of view is we get pummeled tonight as a result of D breakdowns suggesting a false positive that we were missing LS.
Not sure what you mean by canoe. I like him. Entertaining. Not your run of the mill broadcasters. Like how he gets it into it with others, a little punchy as Ron Maclean called him.
Just saw Mikko Rantannen describe his situation ending up with Dallas with a bunch of cryptic nebulous non answers. Weird interview. Something going on there.
Saw another clip of Johnson talking about the jets picking up Schenn and how that was good and the jets don’t have too many gaps but in another segment picks the Jets as the ultimate losers with this years trade deadline.
The Jets so need to go deeper into the playoffs this year or they’re going to continue to hold the label as post season pretenders.
TSN panel goes around picking teams who were winners and losers of this years trade deadlines:
Mike Johnson's turn - Toronto Winners Winnipeg Losers.
ffs
As the competitive nature comes out in me then even more reason to win the cup and send a pic to BN. Hope he disappears in the playoffs like he did at the four nations.
Embrace Tanev’s eagerness to play here. Obviously Winnipeg is not a draw for some players but so far we are doing pretty good without them.
It would be fascinating to watch the Bruins (very tight for that wildcard spot) make the playoffs this year after heavily unloading their existing talent especially with some going to their rivals.
Again, who cares EOD. Go Jets.
Guilty pleasure with these large market teams is they spend a gazillion dollars on a player, he makes off like a bandit with his guaranteed money to support his family and automatically flames out big time.
Bubble wrap anyone?
