This is not a whim, this is a one benefit that has to be seriously modified (which i suggested before could be players can only have three cities on their no move clause and/or franchise players can choose as many as they want - (there’s my offer which you gave me a shot on earlier) cuz welcome to the real world of employment. Because of the entertainment and community work they provide they are rightly very well compensated with great benefits and perks. Having the league run by player families might want to be revisited to help GM’s like Winnipeg’s assemble a team with a bit more equity.

MOS has shown considerable patience for certain players to play thru their challenges. That’s always been his style. I don’t see him tweaking that at all, he’s quite committed to that.

Sure context matters to my point about not the amount of points surrendered but when they were surrendered and yes as I said equal distribution of blame across all phases of the game. We shouldn’t care about other D’s and point to them to justify anything on our end, we should look inwards to better our identity as a D that’s setting the appropriate tone imho.

Yup I think this was a game where it was a nice balance of how all three phases including coaching were to blame for the L. If we are just talking the D it’s not the amount of points given up, it’s more the how and when, ie early in the game and late in game, always reacting not setting the tone. We need a bit more edge to our game on D imo.

As i watch a few these current receivers I mumble under my breath maybe with medical advances he’ll come back stronger.

It’s seems with this D that saying it’s not how you start it’s how you finish is not actually working for us. We need to start better. We’re not setting the tone, it’s being dictated by their O and we play catch up. Doesn’t that come to inefficient preparation?

I don’t think he’s entirely oblivious. I just think there are things that he just won’t do, ie stubbornness, rationalizes stuff away and yes like all of us has some blind spots. He’s smart, he knows football and has a certain style in how he leads based on how he is wired as a human being. Right now it’s not working as well as it has along with also knowing some of the people around him ie scouts, gm, specific players, coordinators etc aren’t doing all they need to do but the old adage takes effect here you can’t fire all of them. Well you could fire the gm but then you would see the house cleaned out anyway.

I find it fascinating that the message can work and then not work. Human beings are a strange breed.

What’s the prognosis on how long till he’s NHL ready? As Homer Simpson would say but I want it now.

And I would add it’s not just on MOS, it’s on the coordinators, the position coaches, the GM, the president etc etc who are responsible for setting the tone, setting expectations, setting how we do things around here. Football really is the ultimate team sport.

Agree but I'm not talking about DB getting enough reps, I'm talking about MOS's great relunctance to bring in the 2nd qb if ZC is consistently struggling (nothing to do with injury) in the game. I get you need to let the starter figure things out, he's your guy, he's earned it, don't want him looking over his shoulder everytime he makes a mistake but sorry you got balance that with other strategies as needed to turn the tide if things aren't working, i.e., you dressed a 2nd string qb for a reason other than charting, calling in plays and being a cheerleader.
