What is interesting to me is why the Rangers Management would try to work out a deal with a team like the Blue Jackets that apparently was on JT’s no go list? And then try to see if JT would waive it to trade him to the Blue Jackets? And then when JT doesn’t waive it they get a bit ornery and threaten him they will put him on waivers. Looks like the Rangers Management were trying real hard to make JT look the the bad guy here. Not a big fan of how players have so much control on how GM’s can do their job but GM’s can’t have their cake and eat it too when they sign players knowing their no trade clauses.

Just to do a fly by here, I don't think it was primarily this, ie.,starting JT for ratio help although it obviously helps for other positions. Based on the things MOS has said and demonstrated with certain players, I think regularly starting and giving reps to JT is the difficulty MOS has with tough decisions needed for players who have given so much to the BB's but aren't the best option at times to help put the team in the best position to be successful.

While I was walking the dog last night a random memory came up where MOS mentioned post game that ZC deserved to go back into the game after his injury. This got me thinking that a really tough decision for a head coach to make is overriding his undying loyalty, dedication and appreciation to an athlete who has given so much to the organization but he has to sit him or cut him to ensure he puts the team in the best position to be successful. I love MOS in how he has helped bring our organization to be the gold standard it is over the past 5 years but I think this is one area where he really struggles. I can totally understand. It's complex, it's tough but it's part of the gig he signed up for.

I've said this a many times. One can carve out a real nice career in the CFL. 🙂

I was wondering what MB was up to these days, apparently still interested in coaching I see. He should move back to the broadcast booth with Lapo, I loved watching them go back and forth from an O versus D point of view using the game they are covering to debate with one another in how their half time adjustments would be better. 'Lapo versus Benevides' half time show to replace 'Please stop yelling Jim Barker' half time show.

I assume Mark Stone will only be available for the one game final if Canada makes it there? 🙂

Actually, please don't. Tell him the opposite, say our O was outstanding I wouldn't change a thing for your new O in BC plus take on as many roles as you can as the new HC it being your first time. All good. 🙂

It's going to be weird seeing Morrisey score on Helle. 🙂 The American roster looks solid but we have McDavid and McKinnon so just make sure their TOI hovers around 30-40 minutes. 🙂
