  1. I'm curious what the people who are saying they don't care if Murphy is rough around the edges thought of Mike Kelly.

And I'd say good riddance to Walters. In a vacuum, it always seems like he's making good moves and improving the team. But at this point I have to admit that nothing he's touched has had any success, right from when he was a Special Teams coordinator of a lousy special teams, to an assistant GM on a terrible team, to a GM of an increasingly terrible team. Where else but with the Bombers could someone follow that kind of career path with the on-field results we've seen?

Maybe it's impatience. But it seems like every other team can turn things around a lot faster than the Bombers ever can.  And avoid the years of lifeless blowouts too, while the GM with absolutely zero track record fixes things slowly.

  2.

Nick Moore is practicing with helmet on at start of practice.

Willy doing some mental reps behind the QBs. He's walking much better than when I saw him walking just last week at the Banjo Bowl.

Overheard Matt Nichols and JFG talking about which Winnipeg restaurant has the hottest waitresses.

And more importantly which Winnipeg Resturant is it ?

Yeah, come on we all want this info too...

  3. I think this is the same thing that happened to the World Juniors in Montreal last year.  Prices go up and up every year, and finally there was an event where all the games weren't sold out.

It's kind of refreshing to me that there's a point where people will stop buying - it's a little market correction. I think the NFL is even seeing it.

And don't try to tell me Winnipeg sports fans are cheap - look at what we happily pay for Jets tickets.

And this is anectdotal, but it seems to me that the Bombers are not really all that highly regarded by average people these days. They've finally earned some ill will by being bad so consistently and it wouldn't surprise me if that's reflected in the Grey Cup sales a bit too.  Maybe they're going in the right direction now, but the wins haven't really shown that yet.

Its that the coaching staff appears to have both anointed and sustained Brohm as the #2...despite him accomplishing next to nothing, as a Bomber......that has some of our teeth on edge.   Not some pseudo conspiracy....

Maybe the rational posters to a degree yes.. But there is ample reasons listed as to why this is..

    I'll reinerate again tho..

    -marve hurt

    -brohm is more experienced

-brohm is more of a pocket passer

These are the 3 that stand out to me as why brohm is ahead of marve at this point..

    - when Marve was not hurt....Marve was outperforming Brohm.

Once again, I'm going to ask the question, when?  When has Marve outperformed Brohm?  In practice?  In preseason?  It's comments like this that make me want to lose it on people.  Practice and preseason mean almost nothing.

Again, I'm not saying Brohm doesn't suck, or that I don't want Marve to play.  I want Marve to play, and I hope he succeeds.  But we haven't seen anything from him to say he is better then Brohm yet.

The rest of your comments I agree with.

    Last season?

    BROHM, B 2014 WPG 39 70 55.7 454 54 0 0 1 1.43

    69.6

    MARVE, R 2014 WPG 11 22 50 140 42 1 4.6 0   85.4

So you're telling me that you can tell by these stats, that Marve outperformed Brohm last season?  Really?  Looks pretty similar to me, other then Marve running a lot more then Brohm.  With this little amount of playing time behind Marve, we can't really judge if he's better then Brohm.  Again, I hope he is if he ever gets to play because I'm tired of watching Brohm.  But you have no proof yet.  Every time I hear people say "WE NEED TO START MARVE, HE'S BETTER THEN BROHM", all I keep hear is the past few years bouncing back..."we need to play Brink, he's better then Buck", "we need to play Elliott, he's better then Brink", "we need to play Goltz, he's better then Buck/Elliott", etc...  And when they got to play what did we hear from the same people who were screaming and yelling to have them play?  "Get rid of Brink/Elliott/Goltz...he sucks!".

And the lesson, as always, is that with the Bombers it always CAN get worse.

    Sigh.

  5.

I think it's terribly sad that the reaction to someone with an obvious mental disorder is to encourage their delusion and even give him major, life-altering cosmetic surgery.  Lord help me if I ever suffer from mental illness and instead of treatment I'm just encouraged to cut off my privates.

I also find it ridiculous that so many people (and a lot of the media) can simultaneously hate on and ridicule the whole Kardashian/Jenner clan for being attention-whores and completely screwed up in almot every way, while also praising Bruce Jenner as a courageous hero.  How can you not make any sort of connection between the two?

... and I'm not trying to take away anyone's rights as far as I know. Nor do I hate anyone involved in the sad, screwed up situation.

So...anyone who is gay, lesbian, bi, Trans etc has a mental disorder?

Pretty much... unless you think the suicide rates are so much higher for people like this because of bullying.  Check out the suicided rates of transgenders AFTER they have sex change surgery.

  7. That doesn't make any sense, but I don't blame you because you're not alone.

There's plenty of people largely ignorant of Christianity who love to cast judgement on them based on their very limited personal experiences or (more likely) what they've heard from other biased sources... which I believe is pretty much the definition of bigotry!

But we could do this all day. Let's just agree that we both think each other bigoted and leave it at that.

  8. I won't go to a weekday game at 6 because it's too hard to make it on time and have a nice 3 course supper first and be able to watch the entire warm-ups.

I won't go to a weekday game that starts anytime after 7:00 because then I get home too late to get my required 8 hours of beauty rest.

Nor will I go to ANY game on Saturday between June 1st - September 15th because I am either at the cottage, camping, at Folk Fest, Countryfest, mowing the lawn, or attending the Winnipeg Jets' Stanley Cup Parade.

Sunday evening is out because I'm either still at the lake or getting my rest for work the next day.

Sunday afternoon might work, until the NFL season starts then that's out too.

So it's simple really: all the games should be Sunday afternoon until the NFL season starts. Then take a few (?) weeks off completely and then have all the games Saturday.

And also, we're going to need a Stadium in every neighbourhood of the city and maybe one in Brandon and Steinbach, all with the same game being played simultaneously on all of them so no one has to worry about long travel times and traffic getting there.

Why can't the dumb CFL get this right??
