Those guys swore up and down during the pre-game of the last Bombers/TiCats game, that there was absolutely no way they'd be behind schedule at any point. They had assurances, and yada yada yada. They were snickering about what happened with the Bombers site, and said without any hesitation that it wouldn't happen to them and everything would be done on time, no questions asked.
God, how I'd love to see them get ****** right around, too...to hell with those guys.
Do they have a clown-shoe president with hair like the lead singer of Platinum Blonde promising that they will start the season in their new stadium?

So he's telling us that a city 25x smaller than Toronto is more sparsely populated? I'm shocked. Did he not realize that sports are played in cities smaller than Canada's largest city?

Going back and forth with Penton on Twitter ...
He said Burke was "doomed" with the roster Mack gave him. I still stand by the fact that the import talent may not have been great, but Burke did absolutely nothing to turn those guys into better players.
I'll ask the question here, same as I asked Penton because I'm curious. Can anyone name an import player who actually improved with time during Tim Burke's stay as HC?
Max Hall I guess? Do guys in their first year in the league count? Sandro Deangelis went from a disaster to merely bad over the season.

I'm sure if Coehoorn was in Winnipeg this year he would have been lighting it up... no difference between playing in Calgary and the crap sandwich that Winnipeg's offense has been this year.

I think a quick lesson on the difference between trades in football and hockey would be helpful for Bomber fans. Again.
Yeah you're right, in the two days between last night and the trade deadline, Brendan Taman would have decided that he doesn't want a top 2 DE and a second round pick for a guy he wasn't even using. That totally would have happened.
Or maybe another team was holding out and would have come up with a better offer in that time. Too bad Walters blew it at the first sign of getting ANYTHING at all for Hall. Looks like Walters is more concerned with impressing the local media than anything else.

Selinger and the NDP government couldn't wait to push Asper out and start throwing money at the team the first chance they got, and took all the glory they could. Now the team is in the tank and the fans have turned on them, and Selinger jumps on the bandwagon and starts talking tough about how the Bombers are run. He is just as responsible for their debt load as anyone in the world. Probably the most responsible, since they didn't really leave the team with any other option than to take their money (not like they didn't want to).
