From the CFL Rule book: Article 7 – Dress Code A team is required to dress in a professional manner and shall be subject to penalty if a player fails to comply with the following requirements: (a) The team jersey shall be tucked inside the top of the pants and shall remain tucked in throughout the game. If the jersey is pulled out during the game, the player shall be required to tuck it in during a break in the play. (b) Uniform stockings shall be worn in such manner that no part of the player’s knee or leg is exposed. (c) Protective gear shall be worn underneath the team jersey, pants and stockings. When a short-sleeved jersey is worn, the color of protective gear on the elbow or lower arm shall be the same as one of the basic colors of the team. (d) The team uniform shall not be cut away or altered in any manner whatsoever. (e) White tape may be used on wrists and hands, but tape used on stockings or any part of the uniform shall be the same color as the uniform or equipment it covers. (f) Shoes of a standard football design, with appropriate football cleating, that have not been altered, deliberately or otherwise, in any manner and judged suitable by the Referee for the playing surface, may be used. Sneaker type shoes with no cleating may also be used PENALTY: L10 PBD The offending player is required to leave the game for a minimum of three plays and shall not be permitted to return until the dress code violation has been remedied. Substitution for the player is allowed.

Only the third series ever to be a sweep with all four games won by a single goal. Habs-Sabres in 1993 (3OT games, all 4-3 score) and Anaheim-Detroit in 2003 (with a double OT and an OT game). Jets-Oilers was tight too, with three OT wins (one in triple OT) and the Jets win 4-1 but with 2 empty netters in that one.

Just to be clear, she was absent during a lot of that time due to a long-term personal medical issue that was not much reported in the media. Not saying this excuses every poor decision she has or has not made, but the “ducking the job” narrative is not completely fair.

I envision an expansion plan to 36 eventually. Quebec City would actually make sense as a relocation for Arizona since the league wants the big expansion dollars and Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City and maybe Salt Lake City would have more well-heeled owners in bigger media markets. 6 divisions of 6 teams each, top 2 in each division and 4 wild card per conference makes 20 teams in the playoffs. First round is best of 3 play-in with the wild card teams, then 1-8 ranked match-ups from there, best of 7. 82 game schedule, 2 games against every non-divisional opponent (60 total), 4 or 5 against divisional opponents (22 games total). Just spitballing here.

The issue is that OSH gets a pass on the site, yet there was bellyaching about the lack of news from reporters, who are shut out by O’Shea’s cone of silence just the same.
