The Bombers were struggling before Nichols went down due to Hall's defence and/or the quality of the players he had to work with. Nichols and the offence had to score a ton of points to keep ahead of the flaccid defence, and if the defence was even average, Nichols would have run away with MOP honours.

I agree, although it makes me nauseous to admit it. If the Argos were somehow able to beat the Riders, it would be at least partial compensation for the Bombers choking out.

I'm still not convinced that Michell is 100% and the consistent poor play of the whole team in the last few games makes me believe that the Stamps can be had.
