  1. Is anyone planning to attend and report?
  2. As much as Harris has meant to the team and fans, he deserves a two year deal. Good for all concerned- the team, fans and Harris.
  3. Even if Bighill is here just for one year, it will give the promising Mr. Gause a chance to learn from one of the best.
  4. Can we say "desperate"?
  5. That is called "dissociative identity disorder", previously called "multiple personality disorder". Stay on your meds, dammit.
  6. Past about age 26-28, our personalities are pretty hard-set. It's now or never for Mr. Manziel.
  7. But does he have blue suede shoes?
  8. I hope that Gause gives Bighill a run for his money. Gause has all the credentials.
  9. I always thought the bar stool was what Dan'l Boone stepped on in the forest.
  10. One recent incident occurred in Maryland after body camera footage showed one officer telling another officer that a man “didn’t do anything” only to arrest him later anyway. As written by The Baltimore Sun: The Annapolis Police Department opened internal investigations after an officer pepper sprayed a man following a fight in downtown Annapolis and then arrested him despite telling another officer he “didn’t do anything.” [...] [Officer Jamal Davis] says several times he does not plan to charge [Ryan Greenstreet], but others officers off-screen question his decision. Police eventually charged Greenstreet with interfering with an arrest and [Michael Richardson, who was involved in the fight] with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
  11. The spirit was willing but the flesh not so much...
  12. I'm afraid Davis had ample opportunity to show that he had the right stuff but fell well short of the mark. He will not be missed.
  13. In the video highlights, Steveler looked to have all the skills necessary to fit right into the CFL- quick release, good accuracy, and the smarts to run when he has to. Didn't see too many long bombs, though.
  14. Is it time to declare this a Durant-free zone? Except perhaps for calling a bad-attitude player "a Durant"?
  15. Not to mention almost total disregard for his survival.
  16. They certainly didn't last too long.
  17. I still remember that game, as hard as I have tried to repress the memories. It was the worst performance by at least the collective Bomber quarterbacks (maybe even the whole freaking CFL) that I can recall being exposed to. And traumatized by.
  18. Didn't he come to camp with a lot of hype but showed up looking like the Michelin man?
  19. Birds of a feather...
  20. Thanks for info. It looks like he is another athlete blessed with all the tools to be great but self-sabotaged.
  21. Wally could probably find that under his sofa cushions.
  22. I am one of a small minority that still think that Cato would be worth a look. God knows, he was athletic and had fire in his belly. He did throw high-risk passes but the Als were struggling at the time and he took it upon himself to try to carry the team. He was one of the few Als that cared enough to give a spit when they lost due to their own ineptitude.
  23. In the narrowest of definitions, you are correct. Politics and sports have been intertwined for at least 3000 years, maybe longer, but if an athlete/coach/manager expresses a political opinion that agrees with the views of the ownership or league, it probably enhances his/her career. You don't have to go very to see that.
  24. But do you know why divers roll backwards off the boat?
  25. I certainly can. Some decisions are right, even though they have an exorbitant cost as a consequence. An example was Leslie Mahafee's decision to not torture her friend ant the behest of Carla Homolka and Paul Bernardo. She said,"No. Some things are worth dying for" and they killed her. Rosa Parks was arrested, assaulted and jailed for her refusal to go to the back of the bus. The list goes on and on. Money does not define what is important.
