Leos @ Bombers: Week Of Thread
I would like to see Eli in at least spot duty. Dejarlais took a few plays to settle in but acquitted himself well after that. I know there is the adage that you cannot have enough good NI O-linemen but Jeez, we seem to be nice and deep at that position and Neufeld's value is not increasing as trade bait.

Exume plays like he has a spare body. Whether he has the instinct or experience is the question.

With Kongbo now on the D-line, maybe its time to audition an import safety.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
Since we do not have the ability to break down the video of each play to see who is open is and who is not, all we can do is look where Nichols tries to lob his passes and whether Walters is auditioning new receivers. I have a hard time believing that Adams, Matthews and others have not been able to get open. I could accept that the deep receivers get discouraged late in the game with not being targeted.

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.
We have another Canuck, Johnny Augustine who looks to be quicker and more elusive than Harris but probably not as powerful or experienced but his hands are unknown. I think we're ok there but its hard to replace an all-star. We also have Brady Oliviera on the IR and gone for the year but he looked very good in his brief stint.

At least 200% worse, maybe more.

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.
Particularly if Streveler is playing 2 minutes per game and thus unable to amass a decent sized body of work.

Not only a ratio-breaker but a game-breaker. And a local lad.

I am not sure that all the other aspects of the offensive game will suddenly come to life after being ignored for so long. AS 17-2-85 pointed out, having a strong running game does not automatically exclude the other offensive weapons being used well. However, if the offence is unable to take advantage of other offensive assets due to either a limited quarterback or limited game plan that tries to compensate for that, its not going to work long term.

Harris is not 22 years old any more and its almost inevitable that he will get nicked up sooner or later, maybe seriously. If O'Shea and LaPolice have not thought about that, then they ought to be sacked. Any offence that is a one-trick or two trick pony is going to falter badly sooner or later.

But long after it was obvious that they were not the answers.

Might as well cut him and out Simonise out there.

With Nichols steamrollering the league? Never!

Hervey must be close to desperate these days and afraid to take calls from Mr. Braley.

Agreed. I have not been impressed with Matthews' efforts or durability. Case in point: Eric Rogers' catch and drive into the end zone. He dragged two Bombers along with him and no one would have blamed him if he went down short of the goal line. I've seen Wolitarsky do this, so it can be done.

And sometimes players mature after a couple of setbacks.
