“I’ll leave that up to the fans. Let’s do a poll and see how they feel about it and we’ll go from there, Durant said on CJME 980 The Green Zone hosted by Jaime Nye.

“We’ll see how that goes. I know that there are a lot of people that would love me.”

Apart from the legalities, Durant would have been better than anyone else the Riders had behind center this past season. But that's a pretty low bar.

Well, the RUMOUR is that during the hot Mike fiasco, he was talking about Reynolds. "incompetent" was about the nicest thing he mentioned. The feeling is that, under the previous management, Rod was a lot more in the loop and he was unhappy with being held at an arms length.

The real kicker was when he was gossiping about Reynolds having an affair with a junior staff member in the organization.

Again, this coming from someone who says he knows someone - so huge grain of salt.

    Sounds credible.

As much as I love Wolitarski's game- he's no Darrell walker or JWL.

I was referring to Simonise. Wolitarsky appears to be more of a possession receiver who can catch in traffic, punish d-backs and power ahead for more yards. I don't think we have seen anywhere near Simonise's potential yet, and maybe we never will. All the physical tools and talent do no good if the fire in the belly is not there. We just do not know yet.

Agreed, we need a game breaking receiver. I think this would open up our other receivers.

We might have such a game-breaker already on our roster- big, good hands, very fast and a Canuck to boot. All we need is for the receivers coach to tune him up and give him the playing time to establish a rapport with our QB(s).

Bit of a low blow there.  Alcoholism is a disease and people should be praised and supported for beating it.

Pederson' struggles have nothing to do with this. I happen to know the reason why he is gone but it best not be discussed in public.  And out of respect to the friend that told me.

My point being that when people are in the grip of an addiction, they are often devious, dishonest and manipulative. Those who dry out and overhaul their lives as per the 12 steps are the ones who flourish, but those who simply abstinent (often by being compelled) are the ones who struggle and often fall down again because they have not done the work on themselves.

  6. In recent US politics news, the FBI  has documented that they warned the Trump campaign in mid-2016 that Russia was trying to influence the election through the Republican party in general and the Trump election committee. They advised the committee that they were obligated to report any further contact with the Russians to the FBI, but the FBI has hard evidence that there were subsequent contacts that went unreported. Further, the FBI has stated that Manafort had contact with someone in the White House during the time he was "cooperating" with Mueller. Manafort is looking at some serious jail time- up to 20 years. However, Trump's proposed AG, Barr, has made ambiguous statements as whether he would allow vigorous investigation and prosecution of a sitting president.

If they want to go.  There's a really good semi-pro league in Ontario that draws a lot of guys from all over Canada but especially the GTA, and the CFL grabs players out of there fairly regularly.   Who is going to pay talented coaches to run the Mexican league and develop our players?

The NFL had and has money to burn.  They also largely backed out of Europe because it was a money pit to run NFLE.  The only country that supported it was Germany.

The CFL is one Braley or Wetenhall dying from having to pay the bills for a team.

I heard that Germany wanted a team in Warsaw so that they could go over there. They also wanted a team in Paris so that they could practice their end runs.

Forgive but.....are we now going back to the import non import days? If these Mexican players are now being reclassified as non imports....so be it. But to believe that they can now compete with the caliber of players coming out of the NCAA is somewhat naive. While I appreciate the need to expand the revenue streams and audience base doing it on the assumption that Mexico is an actual talent pool is at best a complete stretch.

I have heard that some of them are quite skilled in running and climbing.

How many months ago was it that the media began pushing the narrative that the public was tired of the Mueller probe and wanted it wrapped up?  I think they do that when there is a lull and THEY want it wrapped up for the newsworthiness of it.  And then time marches on, a new Trump scandal hits and the public is interested.

Certainly, the goalpost has been moved.  If this Mueller probe was released and it was a total surprise, there would likely be near riots all across the US demanding his ouster.  But the media coverage creates a sense among the public of what to expect.  How often have we said "in the past THIS scandal would be insane" and it's like the 9th scandal of the week.

But I think American's are so patriotic about their institutions and if the Mueller report is as damning as it could be, there will be a sense of resignation among many of Trump's supporters.  Not all.  The racist idiots wont care who he conspired with.  But the people, some of them here even, who say "yeah but, the economy" and other nonsense will really have little choice but to finally admit the red line was crossed.

For everyone else, it would be a tidal wave of condemnation.  And the GOP will know the chickens have come home...it wont be about trying to win in 2020, it will be about trying to save the party from extinction.  And they will jump off the bandwagon.  And they will likely support impeachment in an effort to show a "new way forward" under Pence, who might not escape unscathed either.

You may be overestimating the condemnation of Trump by right-wingers and his base in particular. Whatever proof is presented, they will likely shrug it off as manufactured by the FBI and the "Deep State". When left-wingers are betrayed by their political leaders, they will withdraw support or at the least, remain neutral. For right-wingers, any criticism, even when supported by vivid proof will be assumed to be an attack on themselves personally, and their support of their chosen leaders will become even more intense, even to the point of violence.

The GOP wouldnt support it and the Dems shouldn't offer up Wall money because it moves them off their "no wall" position.  Trump owns the shutdown.  He claimed it, he said he'd do it proudly.  He's pushing a stupid campaign promise that he broke anyway.  And there are bills the House passed that the Senate supported already.  Just get it done.  Its totally on Trump and the GOP.

They send their people out on the news shows to argue totally absurd facts that the public just isnt buying.  They made their best effort to win the PR war and lost.  Every day it goes on is Trump and the GOP pissing away votes in 2020.

    Putin will be very upset.

Exactly how did Trudeau and the Liberals force down the international price of petroleum? It would be amazing if a country which produces less than 6% of world petroleum could do that.

This is the city that rejected hosting the Commonwealth Games and tore down a statue of its founder . The people behind the bid might have their ducks in row with nice pictures and charts but it's the politicians  who control the money.

Ummmm....the city did not tear the statue down- it was taken off its pedestal and put into storage. Cornwallis was rightfully disgraced- he put a bounty out on the local Miqmaqs and paid for every scalp- men, women or children.
