I tend to agree but I'm going to ask anyways, What the hell type of scheme are we running when we have no interest in Laurent or Hickman? Don't you normally want the best players who are available and you make it work? If we aren't signing guys based on schemes we are setting ourself up for failure. Ratio breaking tackle in Laurent, pass cuz he doesn't fit the scheme? Hickman, i'm not sure what you'd get with him, he's been gone a while but to pass on him just because of scheme? Seems ridiculous.

I believe so. Although give credit to Lirim too he done well.

With transit & park & ride traffic is no longer an issue. I park my car, get on a bus & 20 mins later I'm let off in front of the stadium. And buses are waiting to take me back after the game. Nothing wrong with that. People are tired of watching a losing team. That's why the attendance is not where it should be.

After all the **** this team put them through last year? Gonna take a while to build up some goodwill. The games were so bad last year that even the diehard fans were having trouble sticking it out until the end, how do you think the casual fans reacted to that? They'll take a wait and see approach and the first couple games are likely to be low attendance. If they show some back bone and maybe even win some games early in the year fans will come back, but they gotta earn the support back at this point. 

I think anyone who's followed this team was expecting this to happen at some point. It will take time to rebuild the casual fans who make up the other 10k in tix. It'll come in time...

Winning solves a lot of problems. 

Honestly, it isn't surprising.  Past poor performances would eventually come to bite us in the rear in terms of attendance.
 
Put a quality product on the field, and the fans will support it.  Last season pushed a lot of fans to their breaking points.

I always thought Walby was terrible when he was on CBC.  And coupled with Westwood......my God that will be brutal.

Westwood is terrible. Poor speaker and often uniformed about the topic he is discussing.

I don't mind listening to Walby, it's Westwood that annoys me.  I wish Walby went over to CJOB with Irving and did the commentary with him.

Suber and Banks took a lot of bad penalties as well.  Not what you want from your Vets even in a pre-season game!  

I'm sure he meant RT for Neufeld.  Maybe he miss spelled and meant Newman at MLB??  Which wouldn't work out well imo.
 
I'd like to see us start 4 NI on the OL.  If we're lucky enough to have some progression  from our NI OL we could go  January or Jones at LT, then Greaves at LG, Goosen or Morley at C, Morley or Swistun at RG, then Neufeld or Pencer at RT.    Look...we're going to suck this year (most likely anyway) so why not throw the Canadian Hogs out there and see who develops.  We have 1 reliable CDN WR (Rory) and one very good CDN WR in Watson but he isn't reliable health wise (as everyone on here already knows).  Add that to us not having any CDN difference makers on D at all and we're struggling to field 7 quality NI starters.  Alexander will have to start somewhere on D. (I prefer to see him at field corner as I'd like to have some scary hitter at Safety)

I think the boys are just playing around with their new toys and getting a feel for what everybody can do.
And why not? this is the time to do it.
They will select the best of the lot to carry and make their decisions from there.

I'd like to see us give our Canadian Lineman a lot of reps as well. Im not sure why everybody is so up in arms about Floyd wanting us to try and get more development time in for our Canuck Oline
 
Also, can we please drop this whole 3 Import Oline talk, It's just not going to happen. Maybe if we still had Muamba, but we don't... We just don't have the horses on the other parts of the team to make that even remotely possible. We're going to be weak enough as it is, never mind forcing us to start Neufeld at MLB with Thomas at DT lol. That would be a joke.

Scary to think we still need to bring in more import receivers and yet another import O-lineman. To my eyes, neither area needed shoring up, but our NI roster sure looks to need help with nothing on the horizon.

I think O'Shea's comments were blown a little out of proportion. When he referred to three import OL, it didn't sound to me like he was strongly considering the idea, just that every option is an option at this point.

I believe he is healthy when his leg is not broken.

When he is healthy? How many games has he started and you are likely starting a pure rookie at centre. Like I said serious depth and veteran experience.

No drama at all.  I'm just calling it like it is.  We are not a good football team.  you'll see.
No Lucas wasn't going to be our MVP, of course not.  just commenting on how pathetically weak our Canadian players are over all.  And no one can argue that fact.  If you do, you're ... well ... nuts or very high on something.
