On paper we're doomed, but crazy stuff happens on Labour Day and the Riders will ln coming in fat and happy after dumping Ottawa.  We got em right where we want em, go blue.

Now I dunno whether or not Harris is telling the truth or not, we have all heard the "I didn't know, must be my supplements!" excuse before enough times to be immediately doubtful, however if you read Booch without any biases what he says can make sense. Again I ain't passing any judgements because I know that I don't know enough to form an opinion one way or the other. But I do know that arguing with someone who does know enough is pretty foolish. 

it's MOSTLY because of Booch that I'm falling in the "Believe Andrew" camp.....I tend to generally agree with Mike's take on things around here, but in this case, Booch just has too much experience and first hand knowledge to not believe what he's saying is right.

Booch is doing the trick in easing my concerns on this matter. Seems you really know what you're talking about. Is there anyone in the public eye willing to make the same claims? 

thing is...I know the steroid use scene..testing...how and what to take..mgs...clearing system period..on and on as I did it..lived through it..researched it...I could go on and on...the specific one he took...would not have left his system between the 2 tests...being it an oral would have to be taken daily..or every other day depending on how you spread out your dosage...is a bulking agent and serves no use for a skilled position player..also of note Harris is playing at a lighter weight..it also causes serous water retention and you would see it...especially in the face. and most likely he'd be more susceptible to injury when on it...it drys out your tendons and you lose flexibility...things a RB would not want
People are quick to judge..and sadly this will hang over him, but it isn't the reason he is still going strong...and pretty sure most haters will say he must have a better masking agent (and by the way Dbol as an antiquated roid can't be masked) when he comes back...just as good...probably better after his suspension cause he is gonna be playing pissed off now.
Thigpen btw was a totally different situation...he got caught with it full blown in his system and couldn't dispute it...so no **** he tool it like a man..had no choice...and it was a very mainstream drug that is rampant in sports..especially football...not some old school Golds Gym glory days bulking drug...like gimme a break
But the haters are gonna hate regardless....have a look on the internet as I am sure they have it in the flatlands and research the amount of Supplements that have been discovered to have banned stuff in them..not listed on the label...you'de be shocked
 

A very good article indeed.   I'm of the opinion this wasn't intentional, as Harris does seem very contrite and apologetic.   The fact that the head coach and several of his teammates backed him up seems to reinforce this wasn't intentional.   Yes I understand solidarity and such, but if he was a cheat, you think others would be willing to go on a limb to sacrifice their reputation.  That being said, when you live in the limelight,  every action you undertake is scrutinized, and every black mark you encounter enlarged and dissected under a microscope.   That's the pro athlete life.   One bad thing can wipe away 10 good things.   It's unfortunate that this happened to him and everything he has and will do gets marked with an asterisk.   

Here is the thing - O'Shea is parroting this line about trace amounts 10 days after a clean test means it was unintentional.
Does anything we've seen from O'Shea as our head coach over the last couple years give you the impression he would protect someone he thought was intentionally cheating?
 
IMO - If O'Shea thought Harris was purposefully taking banned substances the BEST the club could get him to say to protect Harris would be "I won't comment".  He wouldn't be talking about having Harris at practices surrounded by his teammates, because (IMO) he'd be advocating for cutting the guy.

AS someone who has first hand knowledge of this from my past...as have used..and saw back when teams actually encouraged and administered to you if you wanted and it so I have to side with Andrew for a few reasons
Teams gave a very thorough tutorial so to speak on what each drugs duration in your system was and where it would show test wise..blood..urine and the drugs half life. Also from testing protocol when urine and blood test are administered...and came back clean like they did then the athlete wasn't using...the only other thing that could be done above and beyond that to go one step further is fat samples as it lingers there...but that is never done
...and then a subsequent urine test 10 days later came back with minimal traces of it showing??...makes no sense and has to be some type of contamination or a bad test....even with an oral steroid taken immediately after his first test..the weakest of the weak would show large amounts in system for at least 14 days...undeniable amounts
Also the drug he is apparently accused of is pretty much impossible to get now...more or less discontinued other than from black market suppliers...And I have never heard of a professional athlete going that route to get a drug...basically not made from a legit producer...way to many risks in that.
Thats also why we got an extensive list of supplement companies as well where their "proprietary" blends of ingredients didn't actually say what amount of what was in it..or even if all ingredients are even listed..also as odd as it may seem that industry isn't even regulated, and companies can put whatever they want in their stuff without any recourse, or inspection  and things are only pulled off shelves or investigated after reports of questionable things....sadly a lot of time that is deaths or serious health issues

Our DL is going to destroy Fajardo 

No kidding, we lost last year's LDC- but, we have the first ever regular season win and first ever play off win at new mosaic toilet bowl. We are now answers to CFL trivia:
Q: Which team won the first regular season game at new Mosaic TB, home field of the sask roughriders?"
A: "The Winnipeg Blue Bombers."

Considering the Esks have statistically the better defence...obviously the better dline...the better QB..their top 2 receivers are much better than the Riders..do they even have a top 2..who else is there besides Evan's who's a threat...I think the better RB between Powell and Gable is Gable...obviously statistics show the EDM oline is better...and we swept them...so how anything other than a split at worst is the likely outcome.
I dont think the rider offense has what it takes to score a lot on us until they actually show they can..anything can happen but I dont see it..hope I am not wrong haha

We just beat the Esks. with Streveler...I think Edm. is a better team with a better qb....No reason why we can't knock them off in their own barn

I’m actually glad the redblacks sucked as bad as they did against Sask today.  They’re high on their own juice, just like Edmonton was after destroying TO.
I’m expecting our guys to march into New Mosaic and make it rain watermelon tears.

I would even suggest that if our *receivers* could help Streveler out by catching the ball, then his game automatically balances out.
The Bombers just faced an amped up Eskimos team in a very hostile environment, in the rain.  When the next best defence in the league know what’s coming, and STILL can’t stop the Bomber’s run game, then I’m not too worried about the risk of being one dimensional.
On the other side of the ball, as others have suggested, the Sask offence is about to get punched in the mouth by a real defence...

I would even suggest that if our *receivers* could help Streveler out by catching the ball, then his game automatically balances out.

So he right they didn't flag everything and maybe they should... but he still wouldn't come out with even penalties or even close in penalties because that Edmonton team was taking dirty cheap shots all game and they have no discipline. Such a contrast from Winnipeg that plays a tough physical game without being undisciplined. Even the big scrum that cost Edmonton, yeah gray could got a flag but he pushed a guy and walked away, it was Edmonton whining about it that ultimately drew them the flag.

As long as the D-line can pressure Fajardo into making  dumb throws the numbers the O puts up won't matter very much, scoring points should flow from multiple sources.  It would go along way to forgiving them for the poor Argo game if they can body-slam Fajardo and the Riders back to reality.

I had always thought that if he got a chance and established himself that the bombers might do just that... but who knows.

If Streveler hits his stride, how about sign him long term and let Nichols go in the off-season. Could save cap space and keep both Bighill and Jefferson.  I think Bighill is going to keep rounding into form.
