Scott Grant Photography has a great action photo of your father I'm sure your family would appreciate. You should contact him. His photos are online & you can order it. I remember your father very well. He was just a natural as a player. Peter excelled whatever position he played. He was a safety, a corner, a receiver (wingback) & he could run with the ball as well. He also was the Blue Bomber long snapper. At 185 lbs & he did that very well, too.
I remember the game in 1972 when he picked off 4 passes against the BC Lions.
Your Dad was one of my favourite player's back when he played.

    Hello all!!!
I hope this message finds you all well. My name is Taylor Ribbins, and I am reaching out to this community with a special request. My father, Peter Daniel Ribbins, was a receiver/defensive for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1971 to 1976. Sadly my father passed away 12 December 2010.
As Christmas approaches, I am on heartfelt mission to create a sentimental gift for my Mother and siblings by compiling a collection of memories, footage, pictures, and/or newspaper clippings from my father's football days with the Blue Bombers.
If anyone has any material or know of potential sources that could help me in this endeavor, I would be eternally grateful!!
    Many thanks
    Taylor Ribbins

A Strev Brown combo would work real well actually....pay em both 300k...with start bonuses...and a few incentives.....Sign a rookie entry level guy for the 3rd string spot...would be a net savings overall.....And I'd run multiple combos and sets all game with both on the field at once...Strev in back field...TE...run option with both them....could really create a lot of havoc....Get in his ear now about a contract....and if you get it done you send ZC to the Hammer for their Bennett (or at least the rights to deal with him before FA)...Toss in Erlington an a pick an we forge on

Not what I saw though they only showed the replay once or twice. Slowing it down it looked like the receiver caught the ball and turned upfield.
Bigger issue which was raised by a few during the game yesterday was TSN not showing F'ing replays on penalties, significant plays and such.
As I believe @JuranBoldenRules put it, the game was an annoyance to TSN last night.

I hope the Bombers scrub their website clean of those smarmy bullshit videos with the soul stirring music and burn them in hell.  If Ed Tait ever approves of **** like that again, I'm going to hunt him down like a Newfie in wild pursuit of a Harp seal!!!

Roster management is down on the list? We played Biggie and he clearly wasn't able to play. We could have dressed Rose in his place. Then when Parker got hurt, he goes in for him and maybe they don't get a TD to start the second half. Rose also could have replaced Houston. We played Schoen who was not healthy. Ambles likely helps contribute more. We used Jackson who is useless. Imagine having Fox or Habba instead? Related to this, with the extra DL on, you could sit Bennett and place Kelly who is excellent on kick coverage.

So the way I see it is Collaros made the OL look worse than it was. He took a sack last night by dancing around, he kept looking for a pass that wasn't there. perfect opportunity to tuck it and run and keep the D honest. He doesn't do that anymore. Teams are playing more patiently with him and he's running himself into trouble by not actually running forward.

He's 35 and fragile from all his past injuries. For one of teh highest paid players in the league is this what we want from a guy? I think the time is probably right to go another direction. Brown showed a lot more ability to make things happen than Collaros did. I just know that if we lose a capable backup and stick with Collaros it could get ugly.

    Outside looking in:
    1) Clarify Walters' situation as the man in charge of the next evolution, ASAP.
    2) 2 years remaining on 600k/yr is a spicy meatball. Particularly if being back in the GC next year or more particularly the following year when you host is the goal. I think you have to cut bait. We'll see.
    3) Ruthlessness. This roster is overdue for some pruning. Seeing a few familiar names go can hurt. Time to be cruel-to-be-kind (in the right measure).
    4) Not a disaster, but worth noting that being out-adjusted at HT in the GC is a bad trend. Evolution happens to coaching staffs too.

Tough beat, guys. Sucks to play your worst in the most important game of the season. Ask me how I know.

Actually I didn’t miss that part. I know that Osh’s players love him for that. I just don’t agree that that’s how a coach makes decisions about who gets to play.
Players love him for his loyalty and that’s why players want to come here and stay here. That’s a good thing.
But when that loyalty is dialled up too high it becomes too much of a good thing. Strength tips into excess. And this excess leads him to start 2 injured players who have no business being on the field. Two players who ultimately compromise our ability to win.
And that is not a good thing.
Finally, let me be absolutely crystal clear - I do NOT blame Dalton Schoen or Adam Bighill. Of course they want to play! It is the coach’s job, however, to balance that sense of loyalty with realism… To make those hard decisions that actually give us the best chance to win versus give him the greatest chance of being loved in the moment.
And I know O’Shea‘s philosophy is that ultimately his brand of loyalty pays off in the long run. But I think his practice and philosophy lacks balance and yesterday it cost us again.

Forget Gauthier. The real question should have been would Wilson or Clements or Cole have broken up that pass? Maybe. Gauthier can remain a teamer and occasional rotational guy thanks.

That last play before the 3 minute warning it was a first down play. Everyone in the building knew we were going to run the ball. I thought that would have been a great time to catch Montreal off guard with a passing play and seal the victory. There was very little downside because the three minute warning was going to stop the clock regardless.

We were somewhat fortunate that we had a core group of guys that wanted to stick together for 4 years. We lost the last 2 Grey Cups which is shitty. I honestly think the coaching staff has gotten a bit too unimaginative and overconfident, thinking that if we just show up and do our thing then we win. And they were almost right. But it has cost us this time around. We need to find that edge again.

Ultimately all the teams we compete against are going through the same issue so there's no advantage to anyone.  They are all mining the same talent pool of guys willing to come up.
Feel that this year there was very little effort paid to development which bites short and long-term in this sport.  That churn needs to be continuous.  Saw several circumstances this year where there simply was no one ready to replace an injured player so we didn't replace them.  Like when Grant was out and we had no one that could reasonably even catch a punt safely.

I'm not saying he was the problem. I'm saying him being our nominee for rookie of the year is indicative of the talent we brought in the rest of the team this year. Even if your punter is outstanding, it looks bad on your crop of rookies if he's the best thing you got for ROY.

It says something about our complacency/loyalty when the mediocre/poor punter is the nominee for rookie of the year.

of course it is, we're sitting here bitching that we've only won 2 grey cups in 4 straight appearances and have 3 straight first place in the west finishes.
What we got here are first world problems.
