  1. This surprised me. Did not know you could get this disease, carried in fleas on a mouse, which infected the person's cat, which bit him. "an Oregon man who escaped death after contracting the bubonic plague from his cat has opened up about the terrifying experience and how lucky he is to be alive.Paul Gaylord was in a coma for 27 days in 2012, on life support as his internal organs began to fail, his extremities rotting." lost all his fingers. Etc. http://nydailynews.com/life-style/health/bubonic-plague-survivor-speaks-recovery-article-1.1600598 I've been scratched many times by my cats that eat lots of mice. So far, been lucky, did not get bubonic plague.
  2. watched the redblacks last week. Being beaten by that team, says something about the Bombers doesn't it? The Bombers were somewhat lucky to win a couple of the first few games, great comebacks by the offence, gave them two or three(?) wins. . Willy at this point is probably tired of getting pounded every game. No wonder he's not playing as well. Some people complained about the O line most of this season, guess they were right. Seems that the good start was an illusion. Thanks dod appreciate it.
  3. l'm expecting/hoping our defence is going to get some turnovers tonight. int, fumble recovery…. and hoping the offence can make some points off of them. GO BOMBERS!
  4. seems to me, the few times I've seen him, he took the ball, went straight to the o line really fast, no hesitation whatsoever, kind of slashed through, had some power when he was hit, and made some decent yards. That's what I remember about Volny. I've heard that a coach can teach a player how to stop fumbling, if that's still a problem for Volny.
  5. rashad lawrence, no idea if he's a good player, but what a fantastic athlete, wow. change of direction, twisting in the air, etc. sometimes I wonder if the guys like him that don't make it in the NFL are the ones that won't take steroids and the like.
  6. lol anyone like Allan Holdsworth? One of the great guitar players …..
  7. really good article, thanks for posting it. This means a lot coming from Doug Brown, who is definitely not afraid to say what he really thinks.
  8. Julian played with a lot of enthusiasm, made some big plays, I would like to see him get more chances. The team played well when he was in there. Offence was better than it is now. Why isn't he playing more? I think the CFL is something of a consolation prize for some of these Americans, while for most Canadian players, they are very happy to be on a CFL team and contributing. Andrew Harris, John Cornish. Why doesn't our Canadian Running back get a chance to play? Looked pretty good to me the few times I've seen him. Sometimes the coaches seem to favour Americans just cause they're Americans.
  9. good to hear. Their drummer is outstanding.
  10. not just the number of penalties. It also depends on what play has happened when the flag is thrown. holding after a run for no gain or holding after a run for fifty yards are not the same. It seems like there are a lot of flags after big plays, like for instance the flag on Romby Bryant long touchdown completion.
  11. Watched some of Greenbay v. Chicago today. Officiating in that game anyway, is at least as bad as ours, and fan forum (vikings) is full of comments about it ruining the games, and driving people away from football. Some of the NFL refs are just as bad as ours. I've watched some NFL games this year. slow, many flags, many bad calls, and boredom. I've noticed some people on morningbigblue who have been, from the start, criticizing O'Shea. Maybe they have some personal agenda against the guy. Otherwise, hard to understand. re O'Shea intensity, Don't know him except to watch as a player, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't extremely intense and driven to win. I think he'll get there for the bombers, but going to take more than one season. Nobody really thought it could be done that fast did they? We were a play or two, some bad bounces, and a few bad calls away from winning at least half of the last games in our losing streak.
  12. I noticed that in Edmonton v. Sask. Several big plays by Edmonton, taken back by calls, one a hold half the width of the field away from the actual run. It does ruin the fun of watching the game. These referees don't understand, we aren't watching the game to see them throw flags, and have meetings on national TV.
  13. injured trying to catch a meaningless pass on the second last play of a game. dumb call that was. definitely enjoyed watching this one.
  14. edmonton offence disappeared second half. bad field position
  15. just thinking the same thing, 57 running around in circles. durant getting a big raise,
  16. sask player of the game is their punter. and,,,, another ad.
  17. amazing that the referee couldn't see that hold, Edmonton player's sweater pulled out as running back went by. pathetic.
  18. 0 first downs, 0 yards rushing for sask. in one quarter. enjoying this game so far.
  19. yeah a big guy caught a pass. Well worth a few minutes of coverage.
