Wicker is an interesting signing. Had a good college career. He was up to 315 pounds while in the NFL. I’m thinking he’ll have to shed some weight since he only stands around 6’2.

It’s weird to think Taman is only 55 years old. He’s looked like he’s been in his fifties for twenty plus years.

Tamans ultimate down fall was that he didn’t value Canadian talent the same way Walters has. He was consistently trading picks and our depth was horrendous. When guys like Dave Donaldson and Marcus Howell are a staple stone there’s going to be trouble.

The league obviously wants to hype up interest with the other teams in the league so that it doesn’t look so lopsided I don’t blame the media and the CFL’s best interest in that regard better for us if anything. You don’t think all that talk about Hamilton having a super team in 2021 after we beat them in 2019 gave us that extra chip on the shoulder? We absolutely kicked them in week one. The worst thing a team can do is believe the hype.

Losing Lawler would be a big loss, he’s not exactly old but he’ll be turning 28 by the time the season starts next year so maybe there’s a chance he’ll be back next season. But he was outstanding this season his hands were as steady as they come and I don’t think anyone else made as many tough second down catches as he did.

I think Trevor Harris has reached Kevin Glenn’s arc in his career, a former good starter who you would want as a solid backup but probably not winning much as a starter.

Would be nice but Arbuckle is already 28. I don’t think he wants to spend another year being a back up or a 1)B kind of guy. I’m sure he wants a starter job with starter money.

I was actually looking at the stats.. the only quarterbacks to throw over 300 yards this season against us was Arbuckle in week three (the game Toronto beat us) and Maier the backup in Calgary the following week. Sure our defense got better as the season went on but I still think Arbuckle has the potential to be a starter in this league.

Brandon Alexander moving to safety was one of the factors that totally transformed our defence. He can lay the hit stick and has the speed and cover abilities. Love the way he plays.

Worst to first only happens in a division like the east lol where you can go from winning 5 games to winning 9 games and get a first round bye.

True but Ottawa needs A LOT of work to become contenders. We’ll see.
