2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
I’m a pretty open guy when it comes to change, but this would absolutely undoubtedly kill what the CFL represents and I would NOT be in favour of supporting it. In fact if that happened I would no longer support the CFL. The league may have its issues but having three downs is not one of them.

Ring of Honour - who is next?
Charles Roberts is 5th all time in rushing in CFL history. He deserves it. He was absolutely dynamic on some horrible mid 2000’s Bomber teams. I don’t care about the grey cup experience he’s still earned it.

127 k for Adam’s isn’t egregious but I’m glad to be spending the money else where.

They want to grow the game but god forbid they actually get some good talent out of it and want to pay them properly.. Seems counter productive. That’s definitely something that should be discussed at the next CBA.

No certainly not but typically viruses mutate and become more contagious but less severe over time. The Omicron variant has essentially gotten us out of this pandemic. Not to say things can’t happen or get worse but I would be shocked

I sure hope so. There’s plenty of opportunity for someone to step up in the receiving core. I’m sure it wasn’t easy to watch on the sidelines wishing you were on the field being able to make an impact so hopefully make stronger then ever.

If you’re a millionaire I think you really get to see the perks of living in Vancouver however if you play in the CFL in my personal opinion you can live a good life for the fraction of the cost in a place like Winnipeg. If this was the NHL I could certainly see the advantages of a big market, but when guys are making 50-150 I truly believe Winnipeg has some advantages.

It’s really ridiculous to even be having the Western Finals in December. Time to start the season earlier so that we can end the season in ideally early November.

He’s good but we will see how he does without having the two best defensive ends in the CFL on either side of him.

I was talking about his times with the Rams not college.

Both with good pedigrees. Simmons originally committed to Alabama then went to WV and caught some passes from Tom Brady, while McGhee played at Georgia and would have been covering guys like Kupp and Woods in practise.

For sure which is why taking, no bonus up front in my opinion is a bad move, but I hope it works out for him.

Wouldn’t be surprised. Sounds like something Chris Jones would do.

Funny thing is they’re actually really nice guys in person. I’ve met them both in social circles a few times and both are friendly guys.

No definitely not. We would have lost against Hamilton with Farjardo, 100 percent.

Bad management going to do what bad management does best! You would think the bomber blue print of owning the lines of scrimmage on both sides would be these teams focus but nope. That’s ok better for Winnipeg.

To end the season in 2019 he went 10-17 for about 200 yards and 3 TD’s and 0 INT in two relief games with the Argonauts. So clearly he’s competent enough. Don’t feel great about this if god forbid there’s an injury for an extended period of time.

Yep! Every year a team over spends in free agency and most times it fails miserably. Need to have a strong scouting team down south and draft well to become a great team. Not by over paying vets.

Probably the best time to play them to be honest. A lot of new faces. They’ll most likely take some time to build chemistry!

Calgary and Montreal get to host the season opener? Yuck. Should be Grey Cup rematch ALWAYS. I like how we also get Ottawa back to back to start the season after not playing them all season last year.

I would say at this point in their career going from Ricky Collins jr to Brandon Banks is a down grade for sure.

There was certainly questions about our receiving core and our secondary. 100 percent.

Only had one other 100 yard game? Huh how many 100 yard games do you think were in the CFL? Carey Ka’Deem who was second in rushing and who played 13 games had 3, James Wilder jr who finished third in rushing only had 1 in 11 games played. Oliveria did very well all things considered.

2022 CFL Free Agency(Rumors/official signings)
I would take him here at the right price if he was willing to be a returner and come in on a limited role however I get the feeling he’s not looking for that hence why he’s still un signed.
