holoman got a reaction from Noeller in Bombers were close to signing Marcus Ball
I'm not sure why, but I think we got Raphaol from B.C

Josh Portis had #6 all last year, and I think he wore it when he was gameday rostered.

Ok then it actually says nothing. My bad.

It's amazing how some people who don't follow the CIS suggest certain people should be drafted ahead of others

If this was the first, or even second occurrence, I'd be willing to consider giving him the benefit of the doubt.

We do the same thing every season, and say the same thing each time

Spoke to Nic last month about the possibility of being drafted by the riders, and he said he would go where he was drafted and be professional. His tone however suggested it was his last choice.

He wasn't before the trade, but now that he is a Rider, He's achieved God status

Got to broaden his horizons a bit. We'll just introduce him to the concept of dating girls that you're not related to. Sure, there's that awkward "getting to know them" stage that you don't have with cousins, but on the plus side, if you decide to have kids, there no "What in the world...?" from the doctor during delivery.

Has a list of players attending been released yet?
I'm curious to see how guys like Lamar and Bass do. Also interested in Kurt Goodrich.

Exactly. Montreal released troy Smith a day after the deadline. I don't think we'll see a lineup of players avoiding Montreal anytime soon.

holoman reacted to Mike in Around the CFL Offseason Discussion
Why is he too young? By all accounts, he is the best offensive lineman in the league (I personally think Stanley Bryant is the best lineman in the league, but Jones' resume says Most Outstanding Lineman 2014 so he gets the nod) and he's got the right passport. If he wants to let offers flood in, he's going to be the highest paid non QB in the history of the SMS era. If anything, his age works in his favor. 250-265k was Heenan territory. I'm not saying Jones signs for 300k because I don't necessarily think he's a "I'm going to the highest bidder" kind of guy, but I would be shocked if he doesn't get at least one offer than starts with a 3.
Josh Bourke, at 31 years old, hit a contract of 215k annually last year. When he signed the deal, the salary cap was 4.4 million. His deal = 4.8% of annual cap max.
Brett Jones, at 24 years old, would be earning 5.9% of the annual cap max in 2015 if he signs for 300k. 1.1% difference for a guy who is 7 years younger, getting better and already has been declared the best OL in the league?
I don't think it's unreasonable at all.
