  1. True, but in those peoples defence, Hebert would have looked his age any any other defence but Montreals.
  2. Bombers have traded Kito to the Lions for Banks. Then Banks tweeted the above tweet.
  3. You have to look all the way back to 2012. Riders were 5-11-1 in 2000 Riders were 11-7 in 2003 (Burris came back at Labour day or around that time) Riders were 9-9 in 2004 Stamps were 11-7 in 2005 Stamps were 10-8 in 2006 Stamps were 7-10-1 in 2007 Stamps were 13-5 in 2008 Grey Cup year Stamps were 10-7-1 in 2009 Stamps were 13-5 in 2010 Stamps were 11-7 in 2011 Tiger Cats were 6-12 in 2012 Tiger Cats were 10-8 in 2013
  4. And now the tension between the 2 of you has been released.
  5. Nothing wrong with Reilly doing that. Would you be calling Reilly stupid if we were the only team he looked at? Doubtful. It's difficult to say that Reilly wouldn't of gotten more money had he waited until Free Agency. You just can't say that signing beforehand was a good business decision. Who knows. Perhaps if Reilly made it to FA, MAck offers some money that wasn't close to what Edmonton would have offered, because of that Edmonton lowers their offer and Reilly loses out compared to what he would have made before FA happened.
  6. I believe O'Shea is on record saying he would have the coaching staff assembled and announced by Jan31. I don't recall O'Shea saying that, but I remember Rod Peterson stating that on his blog.
  7. What are you even talking about? From 2010 thru 2012 the guy won a Grey Cup, while putting up typical AC numbers: 5000 yds a season and a 3:1 TD/int ratio. He had a sweet thing going with Trestman and wasn't showing any signs of slowing down ... not until last year. Ideally he would have quit after 2012 and spared himself that awful concussion but I can't blame a guy for hanging onto the only job he's ever held in his adult life. stats aside, you could clearly see he was on the downside even in 2010. That was their Grey cup year, which ideally would have been the perfect time to retire.
  8. I hate to be that guy, but dude should have retired 4 years ago. His last few years put a damper on a sure hall of fame career.
  9. Can we talk about Marshal Mathers in 8 Mile?
  10. I think I could have coached the Bombers this year just like Tim Burke, because I can point the finger at everyone else and shrug a lot as good as anybody I've ever seen.
  11. You're making a few assumptions there. Don't think so, Jacquie. He can work on any team in the CFL. Last season was a disaster & he was an unlucky participant. I don't think he had any idea that things would unravel here the way they did. Have you heard any rumours he wanted to come back? No one has said anything that he wants to be on O'Shea's staff. Now, maybe he will. But all the stories I've heard is he's going to Edmonton. It's rumoured that he's on his way to Edmonton but that rumour started after it was announced the Bombers weren't retaining any of their staff.
  12. Would Marshall really that bad of a choice? He wouldn't be my first, but if that's who we ended up with, and we had a very consistent offence, he wouldn't do too bad. His best defence with the Bombers was in 2007, and our offence was quite consistent that year up to October.
  13. It should be noted that the Bombers w/ Greg Marshall were 3-2-1 in 3 seasons against Ricky Ray and the Eskimos. But wasn't it a Greg Marshall defense that Jason Maas had set the record for straight completions? (I could be incorrect but was just wondering That was 2004. I believe Daley was the coach and Mike Gorton took over as DC.
  14. It should be noted that the Bombers w/ Greg Marshall were 3-2-1 in 3 seasons against Ricky Ray and the Eskimos.
  15. I attended a lot of that training camp and Paredes was just brutal. Big leg but he was missing everything. Can't blame the Bombers for releasing him. At the time I couldn't understand how he even got invited. Hindsight is 20/20 but the coaches made the right call given the information they had at the time. He rebounded and is doing well...good for him. However, it is ignorant to say that it was a bad decision to keep Palardy over a guy who was shanking everything....especially when you were not around to see what they based their decision on. It is a well known fact that Paredes wasn't the same kicker when he was in Bomber camp as he is now. You can't use hindsight to try and claim a mistake when in fact the guy they kept was quite an accurate kicker himself and at the time Paredes was not. He put in the effort to improve himself after getting cut and good on him for that but let's not pretend he was the same guy when the Bombers cut him. Kind of reminds me of Dorsey back in '07. Couldn't beat out AJ III and went to Toronto and had a great year
  16. Its funny, Kavis never had his players suffer any consequences, but Kavis has now been fired and no plan to be hired at all.. #consequences
  17. Pretty much the first round (with the exception of QB's were picked based on potential. Much easier at this point then to scout. The second round will be key (obviously).
  18. Would you be okay with white hair? how bout with no hair? On his way
  19. Judging by the media people, it was done for convenience as the majority of them were at the MTS Centre for roar of the rings.
  20. They've found some good players, but the thing about Hamilton is that they haven't been afraid to utilize the free agent market so they don't fill as many holes through pure scouting. Some good players they've brought in (aside from Gable, Ellingson) include Brandon Boudreaux, Torrey Davis, Rico Murray, Brandon Banks, Delvin Breaux, Eric Norwood, Onrea Jones and Luke Tasker. I'm not going to pretend to know who was responsible for getting those guys up here, but those are just a few names who came up here in the last year or two and made an impact. Come on! That makes this forum more fun!
