Will be very interesting to see what it's like having Smith, Denmark, and Dressler all on the field at once. Definitely lacking height but they're all play makers. 

Wow what a conservative offense... was Tim Burke calling this game?  Kneeling down with time left.... barely any plays going deep despite having two great receivers in Cunningham and Carter who can make those big plays....  
Cato is shattered... as someone said above he is not looking around and missing guys wide open in front of his face. 
Zach is trying way to hard... should of had 3 more interceptions (but hey certain members on this board will ignore this and suggest that Nichols is the only guy that should have more interceptions).   
The game was pretty dull and thank god that Matt Dunigan is hilarious because he can make a turd of a game still fun to watch. 

50/50 prize was $7,200. It was $102k in Winnipeg yesterday. Sad.

I'll be there with the wife and father in law, (both Bomber fans), looking forward to another fun game. Had a great time with Bomber fans at the LDC and I am excited to hopefully see another close game! Yeah we aren't playing the greatest football of all time lol but still enjoy the atmosphere of the rivalry. Just not looking forward to the crazy wait at the Rum Hut! 

Nicholls play makes the o-line look better.   He gets rid of the ball quicker and extends plays with his smarts and poise.   Willy gets happy feet too quickly and the play collapses.

Right, there was the season opener last year. I meant Labour Day in my original post  thanks for catching that.

Considering where we were just a few weeks ago I'll take it

After a run of 16 straight Labour Day Classics I've missed the last three. With this being the last one at Toilet Field I'm thinking of making the trip. So, two questions:
Who is going? Who wants to go?
My old crew have all stopped going so I'm looking to find another orphan, or maybe jump on a bus tour. Any takers?

Matter of preference. For me, I love when the crowd noise is turned up. Adds to the viewing experience.

Not all Riderfans are unhappy to see Bomberfans arrive this weekend and rub their lousiness in their dirty faces. They are actually hoping we can show them how to get rid of Jones like we did with Mike Kelly. When I thought how pathetic their team was I didn't have the heart to tell them it might involve hiring Lyle Bauer ...

Some of the fans have been drinking the green koolaid so long they're positively giddy about the new Rider regime ...

Unfortunately some Riderfans have "given up on the CFL" and they're quickly trying to sell their tickets anyway they can ...

At any rate, it's time for some "deliverance" from that crappy Bomber record in these games the past 12 seasons!

Two of the first three drives we take penalties that put us in first and 20 when we had gotten first downs (and Nichols converts one of those first and 20s via 16 yard pass then 4 yard run). Harris steps out of bounds on a wheel route that's a guaranteed TD. Sack comes in untouched when we're on MTL half of the field. Sheppard runs out of bounds before catching a sideline toss. Another receiver runs a corner route right into the defender (then failed PI challenge). Our star RB fumbles on two promising drives after gaining first downs.
The sluggishness in this game was definitely not on Nichols. He didn't make bad decisions, had no picks, managed the game at the end with a double-digit completion streak, and did what mattered most: got us the win. 
Take Mo's pick six out of the equation and we still generated enough points to win and that's all that matters. Since Nichols has come in, our team has had four games in a row of 30+ points. Under Willy, 30 points hadn't happened since the season opener last year, and over 30 hadn't happened since before that. A stifling D, a QB that isn't making costly mistakes, a RB that doesn't usually fumble, the best special teams in the league, and an O-line that has given up one sack in two games.
I don't care if we don't have top ten receivers or a QB throwing a million yards, so long as we keep winning, that's all that matters!

Nichols now has a winning record as a Bomber QB, it's been years since anyone could say that.
