The current deal with espn is 200k a year for all the games. I’m sure it’s 4x that. No chance they are giving us that much when their portion of the mls deal is 40m total over 4 years.

Bo Levi Mitchell ain't signing with the riders. He wants no part of getting murdered behind a poor offensive line.

As long as oshea is back next year. I don't see why we can't be back in the dance

The Flames owner Murray Edwards could afford to build a stadium himself as he's worth billions but he refuses to spend any money. He's a terrible owner of the Stamps. Neither Edwards or the politicians wants to spend a penny on McMahon Stadium. He's also an absentee owner. He left Canada a number of years ago as he feels he pays too much tax & lives permanently in London, England.
KBF, it will never happen.

Braid: Smith pledges $2.4 billion of inflation relief in TV address | Calgary Herald
How about adding a few hundred million to the price tag and building a new arena and football stadium in Calgary Danielle? You've suddenly got all this money. Tack on a few bucks to upgrade Commonwealth while you are at it. Just get it done. Alberta needs new sports infrastructure.

shared this in another thread.... didn't realize this existed. Can't thank you enough for writing it. I suffer with depression, anxiety (and possibly some other stuff that they're not 100% sure about) and am having a really hard time with this loss. Like "death in the family" kinda grief. Most people think it's insane (it is, to a degree) but it's also really normal. "You're not alone" and "it's okay to not be okay" are really important right now.

It’s soo important to take time and acknowledge these issues. It’s stuff people don’t even think about too often. The 01 loss hit me soo hard and a few times since I’ve had to step away.
I was watching a video today on 3rd places. Basically your home is 1 and work is 2. The 3rd place is a low cost or free place like a local pub or coffee shop where you hang out and mingle out side of your 1 and 2 groups.
With the mass suburbanization of North America a lot of places have lost that 3rd place. It’s hard to have a community area when the community is an endless sea of replicant houses.
I think for me and a lot of people here the bombers and this forum is a 3rd place or the only 3rd place. So when the team is in the dumps or we suffer a tough loss it effects people a lot more emotionally and in terms of mental health than any one on the out side would ever think.
the seasonal nature of our game makes it hard too. The off-season is long and dark. I think the last few years with regular threads on greatest teams and players has helped that a lot.
Just because we lost and it’s the off season doesn’t mean this isn’t a 3rd place. Maybe we need a vent thread or one just focusing on all the good things this team has going.
I know a lot of the efforts you’ve put in zach has meant a lot to some of the young remote bomber fans, even though you struggle, you’re helping a lot of people and the cause it self. Keep on keepin on bud. You’ve done soo much and come soo far in a short time. I can’t wait to see where you have risen in a couple years.

Demski will be back. All those comments mean to me is that if someone wants to back a dump truck full of money up to his house he will listen to them.

I thought Rose play improved quite a bit the last 3rd of the season ( the whole defence did) and I wouldn't be so quick to move on. We found some guys who can play but Rose has some experience that I'd like to keep around
I like Ellingston but I like him for 120 k. Shoen likely gone. I'm not sure this team has to spend a fortune on a wr in free agency. We've shown we can find talent through the pipes. That plus a couple of value free agent looks and well be okay.
Not sure if Jefferson and Jeffcoat took a step back in the sack department because of lack of talent in the interior. But I could see Jeffcoat going elsewhere. Can't keep johnny a Unfortunately.
Demski will cost big $

Yeah we still have the top qb in the league under contract for 3 more years, have a 1000 yard young NI rb, one of the best OLs which will be back, good receivers... and the best front office in the league and a culture that can't be beat. People writing the Bombers off are short sighted. I mean if that last kick goes through does that suddenly change anything about where this team is at?

At the end of the day, despite all the drama, angst and hyperbole, it was just a game. I have two members of my extended family currently in hospital fighting for their lives and I have followed the Bombers for about 50 years but we do need keep a perspective. For some, there will not be a next year.

Lawler and Schoen would be such an embarrassment of riches. They are very different receivers and both great at what they do.

I don't understand the Ellingson hate on this board. The guy made two clutch grabs in the Grey Cup ...one leading to a TD, the other a chance to give us the go ahead points.
Don't forget he had a monster game against Calgary 152 yds receiving just before he got hurt. This is the first time he's missed any significant time in his career too. I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat. Collaros and Ellingson have wicked chemistry.

That kick was at the line, going left and no more than 6 feet in the air.
It was maybe going about 10 yards further than it would have after it got blocked and way wide.
The ball is pinned in the middle of the field and the kick over 7 yards is in the gap outside the LT already. Something was very wrong with the kick right off the foot.
On paper Liegghio is a good kicker in all aspects. But he’s unreliable. It’s not just one kick, it’s not just two kicks. His punting was awful in that game including putting one right down the hash mark to set up a big return and the go-ahead TD.
I can’t imagine a coach having a lot of trust with that player as in feeling confident putting him on the field really ever. To me it’s very similar to Hajrullahu’s final days here except the stakes were so much higher for Liegghio’s screwups.
Maybe he needs to focus on one job and at the start of this year I would have said punting but now I might say placekicking because his punting was very erratic this year too.
