BUt on the flipside...the G.M here was a major part/player in creating said culture here, and the treatment of the players...He and Oshea are 100 percent the reason for the franchise turn around in terms of success, and how viewed league wide....players talk..and Winnipeg has become one of the preferred landing spots in the league now

Janarion is a key signing. Whenever you can get a returner as capable as he is of flipping the field it is a significant factor in a teams W/L column. I always felt that KRs never get enough credit for their contributions to team success.

Joe Mack wears the moniker Sleepy Joe to this day, at least Walters is out here turning nothing into something. Evidence we now have a hustler at the helm.

I don't really understand what sort of leverage people think that Walters had with Speller? On Sunday, he can talk to any team and it's clear he's headed back East. Walters got something for nothing.

You mean like, see who throws the most picks, or who has the most fumbles? Maybe the starter will be the one that is best at curling into the fetal position like Evans in the Grey Cup lol.

I am really pleased to hear how many players have re-structured their contracts to keep the gang together. Hard to imagine many folks who have suffered financially during the pandemic would step up and take a 50%+ pay cut like Adam Bighill did going from $250,000 to $115,000. But also credit the Bombers for paying him his full $100,000 in bonuses in 2020 when they didn’t even have any games. Honest give and take from both sides, no shenanigans. A salute from this fan for a lot of class and understanding from all sides.

Or the throw to Darvin Adams back of the end zone vs Calgary. That would have been a sack. That was the official start of our GC run. When we all started to believe. The players too. Might have been the season's most important play establishing Zach Collaros.

I'm putting this here because the Bernie memes are funny but it's tied into US politics. I doubt many not interested in US politics would care to see it.

I still believe Trump was a symptom not the disease. ( A bloody awful symptom ) There are root causes in that country that put a corrupt, sociopath, egomaniac in office. I actually hope and believe Biden might be the right guy at the right time. There is an awful lot of healing and knitting to be done to bring that country back from the brink of something ugly. Hopefully today is the start of something. I worry about his age but maybe that age will be a aid. We live far to close and have far to many connections to want to see the next step after the riot. I wish President Biden all the best.

I agree, somewhat. It's a fine line between punishing those who deserve it and driving the divide deeper. I would really like to see the planners ( Reps, Senators and people in power ) who can be proven guilty severely  punished. They were on the brink of collapse . They have a tentative, fragile reprieve.

there is a lot of  firing, and inquiring to be done too. this is nuts.
"The effort to obstruct the Biden team, led by senior White House appointees at the Pentagon, is unprecedented in modern presidential transitions
They really should not be allowed to get away with this. It’s just completely irresponsible and indefensible,” said one transition official. “To play politics with the country’s national security is just really unacceptable.
But across the department, even when the biden transition team did meet with DoD officials, both civilian and military, they were often tight-lipped, as if they were given explicit guidance about what they could and could not talk about. Those suspicions were confirmed when the first transition official bumped into a “very high-ranking” military official a week after their meeting, and the officer apologized for his clipped answers.
“We were alone, and he told me ‘I’m sorry I wasn’t able to tell you more, but I was given very strict instructions,’” the transition official said."

The above posts illustrate why there has to be a surgical excising of all the rotted tissue that are the remnants of the Trump Reign of Error. In behavioural shinkology, the surest way to ensure that behaviour will resurface is to let it pass without intervention and vigorous  correction. If the Democrats refuse to do this, they will as complicit be as the GOP in the certain destruction of American democracy. One more regime as corrupt as the Trump, and Americans will sour on democracy and welcome a "strong man" who will promise to correct all the excesses but will preside over the last days of the democracy.

Shocked to hear that Adam Bighill’s contract for 2021 is 115k (down from 260k). I know he has strong business interests in Winnipeg, but is speaks volumes for the atmosphere Mike O’Shea has created with #Bombers that a player would take that much less to stay there. @CFLonTSN 1/2

...and if there is an off-season GM of the year award, it goes to Kyle Walters. @andrewharris33, @Bighill44, @Stmn_Willie_Bmn, @Demski9, @ZCollaros7, Bryant, Hardrick, Gray, Antigha, Jeffcoat, Thomas, Maston all back under manageable deals. Most of the heavy lifting already done!

Yeah I have been waiting for the medlock signing, I wouldn't be surprised to see both parties move on. Of course there will likely be a fall off in terms of consistency.
Harris is either in WPG or he's retiring. End of story.

I know that I am in the minority on this, but I am OK if the Bombers and Harris part ways. Of course, I would absolutely love to have him but at the end of the day I believe he is a luxury item. If he wants to take his shave, right on! If not, then we simply find a stud IMP running back and move on and make ratio elsewhere. I have similar feelings about Medlock. It's not that I don't think these guys are outstanding football players it's just that they are likely the two easiest big ticket items on our list to replace at the moment.  Having said that c'mon Med and Harris...take your shave and stay.
The reason we drafted Liegghio(sp?) is because Medlock has been waffling every offseason about returning for the past couple years. It was bound to happen. Personally, I am fine with Medlock going. At the end of the day he is a kicker and we drafted a very good one.
