  1. No he won't be. He's starting/finishing the game unless he's injured.
  2. I believe all the talent you mentioned were replaced with guys who were on the roster last year, with the exception of Singleton (who was thought be a great player in the making during the draft) and Daniels...DD didn't need to go find anyone... I stand by my point of no adversity.
  3. That might work if they weren't on completely opposite ends of the spectrum
  4. All that proves is my previous point...that DD was handed a championship calibre team..those include depth. He hasn't faced any great adversity yet when it comes to injuries.... due to great depth. There's no poor play reasons, no poor coordinators to overcome, no cnd depth shortages. None of which have anything to do with his HCing skills. I'm not saying he's a bad coach, I just don't think you can say what DD has done this year proves that MOS was **** his first year. The 2014 BB and the 2016 stamps are in very different positions when it comes to talent level/depth.
  5. To be fair, he hasn't faced nearly as much adversity as any other rookie HC in a very long time. It's easy to look good, when everything goes your way.
  6. Yeah it's not the stamps have ever took a half of football off during this season.....nope, not once, or even twice, or even ever!!! You do realize that a coach can only do so much right? You can't actually stop players from taking penalties, or not playing properly for 4qrts. Well I guess you could, but you'd need a much bigger roster. This thread is hilarious. Dickenson isn't the greatest coach of all time. He was legitimately handed a Champion calibre team. It's not hard to see why he's been so successful. MOS took a very different path to get to success, it being different doesn't devalue it. The amount of time it took doesn't devalue it. It's just different.
  7. yeah those rules are annoying. And kill the kick returns, which is one of my favourite parts of football. But other than that, this years games have been extra boring. Monday nights game, was a battle of who sucks the least. It's just not fun to watch.
  8. This is legitimately unavoidable in a 9 team league. It's also already addressed with the crossover. The 6 best teams always make the playoffs, every year since the crossover. Some of those teams will be mediocre, but guess what? Even with a one division league, the teams in positions 4,5,6 will all likely be around the .500 mark. I don't get why people think making the CFL a one division league will all of a sudden make the top 6 teams in the league win more?? The only reasonable argument to be made is to get the top two teams in the league a one week bye come playoff time. I also don't by into the argument of getting the top two teams in the grey cup, as even with one division there's no way that can be guaranteed. To me, one mediocre excuse should not overrule decades of tradition.
  9. you'd get east and west teams in the final occasionally. The past two years (probably more) at least it would have been an all west grey cup had it been one division. Like has been said before, the CFL can't afford to do any worse in the eastern cities than it already is. 2 straight years of only western teams in the grey cup would hurt the CFL brand way more than an 8-10 team making it over a 9-9 team. The goal should be to get all the best teams in the playoffs. The cross over does that. If you don't want to be the cross over team. Play better football.
  10. HA, right... I stand by my point though.
  11. While I like Brown, I was hoping to see more of the old Legends get there first. Jack Jacob to be specific. Or if they were wanted someone from more modern times, Charles Roberts, or Walby. I just don't see how Brown was picked over those 3.
  12. I don't mind it. Just wish they would do it with players who have a personality and won't give plays away by speaking.
  13. Mcduffie took all kick off return reps. He's gonna play. Not a chance he sits, he's been incredibly important to this team all year. He needs to be in the line up.
  14. I thought you couldn't trade injured players?
  15. I respectfully disagree. I don't believe Denmark has had the same successful systems put in place as Dressler has. The two have played on very different teams. When plans are made to get Denmark involved, he's always made the most of it. I have nothing against Dressler, but I don't see his ability to stay on the field improving moving forward. Elite Rec's are great to have, but not if they can't stay on the field.
  16. Exponentially? I don't see that big of a talent gap. Especially when you consider injury history and salary. Injury history plays an even bigger role if Smith is on the roster as well. As both Dressler and Smith have missed significant time the past two seasons now.
  17. So is Dressler, except an argument can be made that he has a hard time staying on the field. Something Denmark has never had an issue with. And between Dressler and Denmark, I'm sure the $$ difference is significant. Out of the three moving forward (next season and beyond) I'd honestly make it between Dressler and Denmark on who to cut and who to keep. All 3 are very similar, one is young, two are "old". Out of the two old, one is more expensive (assuming) and more prone to injuries. Both older guys have solid hands/routes/are clutch....what's the argument to keep Dressler over Denmark? I'm not trying to start an argument, I just think it's something to consider moving forward.
  18. Will anyone need to be let go because of this? Or do we have the roster space?
  19. I think it's pricing itself out. The CFL needs to understand what type of crowd goes to the games. It doesn't have the prestige of the NFL or the superbowl. That on top of the fact I can have a better view, more comfortable seat and cheaper drinks/food at a friends house makes paying 400 bucks seem like a joke. Then add on TO doing what TO does best. Just incredible naive of whoever came up with the ticket prices.
  20. smith
  21. I'd like them to grab either Elliot or Gurley.
  22. And Gurley got those stats catching footballs from 4 different QB's. Bringing in One of the three would be just fine. Wouldn't want to bring in two. Bring in the one guy, have the leaders on the team explain to him what's expected from the players (never mind what the coaches want) and go from there. The bombers have zero to lose at this point.
