Not technically true, as Thorpe was ahead of him, but injury gave Washington the opportunity. Granted one could argue that was his chance to take the reigns and not let Thorpe get them back. But with the way Oshea works, I doubt he would have let someone lose their spot due to injury. But the fact he's still on the team, is evidence enough that he's shown something...I'm not trying to say the guy is a star in the making. Just that, he hasn't really shown anything either way but the coaches obviously feel he's got some talent.

ugh...that explanation doesn't hold up. Contacting the head is a penalty by accident or not!!!!! GOD DAMN IT CFL!!!!! I honestly feel the light load for Harris was intentional last week. I just can't see another reason for it. He wasn't shut down by any means. Lapo and Oshea know what he means to the Offense and I think he will be a big factor in the game tomorrow. I'm not worried about Coates or JFG. They have both shown they can get open and make the hard catches. Adams is going to go off again!!! I just hope the Oline can shut down Bazzie. They had issues stopping the blitz off the ends last week.

If they go two CND rec this week. I hope that means Nevis and Johnson start.

I'm do disagree to a point. I think he's been involved more than he should be. But as a rotational player, I think he does what is asked of him.

Fair, that's what I was getting at with the way the CND talent is in the league. Thomas isn't ever going to be a star. But he produces. And there's no team in the league that has all their CNDs at an all star level. Teams need to fill gaps with gap fillers. And if he's release. He won't be out of work long.

He makes a significant play in almost every game. FOOOOOR example, against the ticats, he hustled off his block and tripped up Green AFTER he got to the second level. Had he not made that play Green scoots for at least 30 yards and possibly a TD. Thomas made the play and stopped the drive.

If this wasn't against BC with the season series on the line, I'd agree with you. But this is actually a pretty big game. This team hasn't lost two games in a row this year, have an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot (maybe even home date?) and if they win they force the tie breaker two weeks from now, it's a 4 point swing if they win AND they need to keep pace with the other western teams who are all coming off wins . So all those things considered, Nichols needs to play if he can. As for getting his hand getting hit etc etc...if his hand hits a helmet or gets caught between pads, last week injuries or not, he's going to be in a lot of pain. "He might get hurt" is a great way for a coach to lose his job.

There was also about 1 min of game time run off the clock for some reason. CFL has not addressed that. It was between plays. The clock just kept ticking....

Givens might be that extra option on O. He's got some solid wheels and decent size. Hopefully we get a chance to see what he's got. As for Adams. Guy has been absolutely lights out this year!
