well he is/was QB coach inEdmonton so it's not to coach. Couldn't they give him a new title and more money or are coaches off limits in the middle of the season? I tend to agree it's to play but just seems odd they couldn't find anyone else.

If they brought him in to play this is hilarious. But he could be brought in to coach or just mentor the young guys. Has anyone said why they are bringing him in?

A few days ago I was posting just how bad a DC Etch is & how I want him gone. He was being defended by more than a few here saying that his defense saved games for us & kept us in others. It wasn't the defense, the posters said that was a problem. It was the offense. Well, we travel to Ottawa lose embarrassingly to the worst team in the CFL & a couple of our major problems was the inability to tackle & stop the run which has been the way it's been defensively all season. I want Etch gone but I'm getting the impression that MOS will stubbornly go down with his coaches before he fires any of them so we're stuck with this guy for the long term. Yeah, I agree. I think he's going to stick with the same coaches as well, which may be his downfall unless they somehow surprise us. The problem with Etch is his defense is on and off. Never consistent. And his run defense is almost always terrible. Our defensive line almost across the board is outweighed by at least 60 lbs to a man. We have small linebackers so we get pushed back. Bad combination right there. The hell with speed if you get pushed back & aren't physical &/0r strong enough to tackle. This defense sucks. Etch has to go. never should have been hired at all. anyone ... including Greg Marshall would've been better...sad to say A lot of Rider fans said that Etch wasn't a bad DC but teams would figure him out by labour day and he wouldn't adjust anything which is why the Riders always had good starts but terrible finishes when he was the DC there. I see what they mean. The D was good for the first half but teams have caught on and he's doing nothing to adjust. If he continues to not adjust we will be hard pressed for another W. marcel seems the same way. Not much adjustment and teams can figure him out. I still feel from where we were 365 days ago that we are improved. We need to continue to improve though not stand pat or decline. If we try and take this same team through next season with little to no change I'll be pissed.

HKS Architects who designed Regina's stadium always have renderings identical to the finished product.http://www.hksinc.com This firm has designed NFL venues in Dallas, Indy, & the new Minneapolis stadium. Also if you want to follow the construction of the new Riders stadium check out @YQRstadium The only issue I see is that PCL is building it. I am not sure how they are in Regina but in Manitoba they are slowly gaining a bad rap. Cost over runs and delays. They are over aggressive on safety and often over look the big picture. I work with them often and I like working with them but I am always hearing bad things. I hope this won't be the case. The league doesn't need another delayed stadium opening!! I don't recall any negative issues regarding PCL builds in Regina, they have a very strong reputation here. I think they are building the new Oilers arena too. You probably won't. My only other thought was where they were going to get all the man power from. Likely lots from Alberta and Manitoba with the rest local trades. Going to need a lot of man power though!

maybe they actually got around to reviewing those games and realized they needed to actually call penalties. Or maybe the league doesn't want the Bombers in the playoffs this year for some reason. This year? I think its been a few years

Riders desperately missed Durant today. I have a feeling if Willy is out against Hamilton they will do the same to us. I know we get a week off finally but I just don't feel confident with Brohm behind centre. I have a feeling we get one maybe two more win this year. Hate being the Debbie downer but with out Willy we don't have much. Now 7-8 wins is still way better then last year and we should be happy with the progress. If Willys injury is bad (collarbone or shoulder) they shouldn't try and rush him back in. I'd rather a healthy Willy to start next season over the chance of making it worse. I think BC rushed lulay back too soon and he could be done for ever. Just my opinion.

Soooo every starting QB in the west could be out for a period.......
