Gambled on 3rd down rather than going for a 48 yard field goal with a kicker who is playing lights out. I meant to ask, why do people dislike Chris Jones personally? He seems ok to me. Just his thoughts and mentality on some things. His first year as head coach he refused the traditional handshake after a game with the opposing coach because he felt that it wasn't "genuine" . Apparently he has relented and shakes hands this year because he didn't want to bring "negative' publicity to the club, but I'm sure he still thinks it is an empty gesture. Didn't he also keep holding the team in the tunnel/locker room until after the anthem was played last year? Like what's that all about?

I was at Mosiac just a month ago for the Riders home opener. It's worse than CanadInns, but not by much. Like it's worse then Canad Inns is currently (A pile of rubble buried in the abyss?)

I think that was a dumb call by Jones. I get the risk/reward thing but even if you make the completion for a first down you are still 30yrds or so out with not much time left. Give it yo your kicker make the FG and let your defense win you the game in OT.

I went to jr high in the late 90s and we still had sock hops. I did go to school in a pretty small town though Well I'm over 30 and never referred to them as such. Maybe we were just different in Northwestern Ontario lol.

Here is Brohms stellar statistics through 2 relief appearances... 25/47 for a 53.2% completion rating, 4 interceptions and an overall rating of 30.2%.......(Pretty well the lowest rating of any real QB) Please let Willy be ok or start someone else FFS!

That's kind of odd considering the Riders sold around 25k season tickets that year that so many bomber fans were there isn't it? You guys can laugh at how bad we are all you want but even this year there are 26700 season tickets sold so the myth that any team will ever outnumber our fans in our stadium is simply that, Obviously you would have sold a lot of season tix this year as you came off the GC win in 2013 a good year last year and were expected to be good this year. Even at 0-18 this year you won't see a significant drop as the new stadium will keep ppl buying. If you go years without success 3-4 that's when you will see a significant drop. Where as the Bombers have gone forever with success and still sell above 22k in season tix.

Westwood and Libel were talking about this a few months back. Apparently he left the Stamps because his girlfriend at the time didn't want him playing football in Canada. This came I believe from Westwood who would have been playing around the time this happened so idk. Maybe a google search is in order And after a quick search it says a back injury ended his career before seeing a game. So who knows. Maybe the GF reason is true and wanted to leave.

I'm certain it would have been. Look at the Rider game and Smith not getting the first down on third and short when it was pretty clear he was. He fumbled the ball but after review said the fumble was after the whistle, however Smith didn't get enough yardage. Looked pretty clear he had. Seems to happen in every game I guess.

Agreed. I mean they have it in curling with Hog line infractions. How someone hasn't figured out how to put the technology into other sports yet it strange. The only thing with something like a laser is you can break it with your foot and not the ball (See the reply ) I can see in hockey, them installing the same technology into the puck as they have in curling and once it crosses a certain line it lights up. Would take a lot of guess work off the refs. Not sure how they would do that with a football. But if there are any inventors out there that want my idea I want a 30% royalty The technology for curling is a bit different as it simply records if the players hand is still on the handle of the rock as it crosses the hog line. Where do you put the sensor in the football? The ball only needs to touch the goal line for it to be in, you would have to make the entire football able to become a sensor and that seems like a near impossible task. The solution to me is to accept that there will be human error in the officiating and just deal with it. Ditch all the reviews and just let the refs do their job and hold them to a standard Well aware of how the curling one works. Been at it for almost 30 years and most of that very competitive I didn't mean to say that it should be exactly like that but maybe something similar. Or your right just let it go to the side ref and move on.

My point was that even though it didn't cost us the game it could have. I just wanted other peoples opinions as to whether or not they felt it was in and what other options they can do to get the call right if they were wrong. Even if this wasn't a Bomber game I would have brought it up. Its just odd they didn't say they were reviewing it (even though they usually do) and seemingly just went to the pt after. Maybe they had a perfect camera view we didn't see and it was a quick review. Maybe they just said F it and gave them the TD to move the game along as they just finished burning 20min back and fourth with penalties I'm just pointing out the one angle that we are able to see and even with the skewed camera angle it doesn't look in. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the outcome and hate to be bringing it up. But would a stationary camera on the goal line help in these situations?
