Also made a mistake w/ Grant Clitsome, Setogucci, Tiny Enstrom, Burmistrov, Antropov, etc. Bogosian is regressing. Totally disagree... Clitsome was a cheap and decent pick up last season, Enstrom is an ok player, Burmistrov was the Thrashers fault for bringing him in to young , Antropov was the Thrashers fault, Bogosian isnt' as bad as people make him out to be. Setoguchi is only on a 1 year contract, smart move by the club so after this year he is gonzo and the salary is freed up. A bad GM would of thrown a 3 year contract at the guy.

Lol the roster isn't that bad. Pav sucks not because of the poor defense... it's his poor rebounds that he gives up and his lack of ability to stop a wrap around. The numbers don't lie.... Montoya is playing behind the same "AHL'ers" that you say and he's keeping the team in the game much better then Pav does.

I don't think they pull the trigger on those guys unless somehow they get a steal of a deal..... I do think though if Kane doesn't improve next season that he will be dealed on the trade deadline for picks or something of value.... how long can you wait before a guy actually picks up his game. Sure he might get 30 goals but he takes a ridiculous amount of shots and rarely sets up any plays.... I'll take a guy like Schiefele who might only get 15 - 20 goals but who will actually create a tonne of more scoring chances by passing the puck and probably would end up with the same amount of points as Kane.

That San Jose deal was all Lawless making up something out of nothing.... he was the only one "reporting it". The same goes with his zany idea that we trade Pav for Cam Ward and swallow Wards massive 6.5 million a year cap hit contract which would be ludicrous. The Jets are in a good position, we will dump Ollie's 4.5 million contract... we have several NHL level guys coming up the ranks with Morrissey, Petan , Helleybuck (sp?) , Lowry, Kosmachuk , Kichton..... their is no superstars the Jets can dump a boatload of cash on and if one is available in a year or two that would be when they should attempt to sign them. I like the direction this club is going.... dumping the crap big salary guys and putting that money to long term contracts on guys who have upside and only spending limited money on short term guys as fillers. The only *mistakes* they have made have been Pav and Olli (based on his pay)...

Put your GM hat on... which players could the Jets acquire that would of sent them to the play offs and would of favored them for winning one or two series? And who would the Jets would have to give up to attain them? I like to see names because watching the trade deadline I didn't see really anyone that could of put us over the hump?

I like reading the free press comments from all the "fans" they are usually hilarious and somehow expect that we should trade a mediocre player and in return get a top 5 player and that the only reason the Jets have not done this is because Chevy is to scared to pull the trigger. I think Chevy is doing a FANTASTIC job so far , his draft picks are mostly doing great (Sutter the only real bust) and the shedding of the dead weight guys over the years and retaining the promising young guys has been A plus so far. I wish Winnipeg *fans* had some patience... the team they acquired was a complete mess and had zero prospects and not many assets. The team has some fantastic guys who will be NHL ready in a few years and with the current group of young guys we have it will be a very good mix. The only players this team should think of moving I think would be Kane and Pavelec and nobody else. I'd like the team to give Kane one more season before righting him off.... the guy doesn't seem to be progressing and aside from skating fast and wiping out in the corner he really doesn't do much aside from taking half ass shots and missing the net when he is open. I think Jets should stay the course and the fans should give them at least 2 more seasons before expecting NHL Playoff caliber team.

Who the F cares.... it's not like Andrew Ladd was lighting it up for us. I think it's pretty excusable for a guy to be present for his new born and missing a game or two from that rather then missing a huge chunk of the season because one of your own team mates knocked you out for being a d-bag.

Well his competition is a guy who had several starts in the NFL and a guy who was highly touted and compared to Aaron Rodgers... He will have to have a lights out training camp to see the field this year.

No one is doubting his "potential" or his athletic ability.... how can we backtrack when he performed very poorly for us. It's a fact and really he had no excuses for his mistakes. With guys like Hall or Goltz we can at least blame the o-line or the plays being called. Don't forget Cauchy was also being critiqued while in BC for similar reasons.

Willy has played quite a bit more than Tate prior to Burris being traded. No Willy hasn't. Tate took over the starter's job for the Stamps for their last 4 regular season games and the playoffs. Burris being benched for Tate was the reason he was traded. Both had three starts and Tate had about 90 more pass attempts. Very similar stats between the both of them. A very interesting stat is that Max Hall has seen the field more in his one season then Tate has seen in his last three years combined!!

I'll take cannon for an arm , he's in tough with Brohm and Hall both of whom had excellent pedigree.

Its called veteran insurance in case plan A doesn't work out. Your plan has failed us the last three years...we can't suffer any more poor qb play when this team doesn't have the talent to overcome this.
