My expectations of our offense is much lower then 40 TD - 0 Ints kind of dream land. I fully expect that our offense will kick a bunch of points and Nichols I think is closer to the 25 TD - 17 Ints kind of numbers. The thing I like about Nichols is that he is the guy unlike Glenn who even after getting hit, would be able to put together a game winning drive late in the 4th quarter.

Usually immigrants are not really ones for purchasing any sporting event tickets. The prime target audience should be 18 - 40 year old Canadian males... that's what every other larger sport attempts to bring in. I don't think soccer would draw even as much as the Goldeyes (very old demographics that keep dying and shrinking). They can try the risk but I don't see it being successful.

I am hoping they are referring to Thorburn, Stuart, Pavelec and Stafford being off this team and replaced with younger guys.... The team really can't get much younger at this point?

The Jets have no interest in signing a goalie for 4 years... they want Comrie and Helle to be the future. They will sign an experienced guy for 2 years for less money. Draft and develop .....

I listen to them on the way home every day (usually between 4 - 5) and Lawless is usually quiet with Hustler doing nearly all of the talking. Way more chemistry on the morning drive with Toth and Westwood.

I'm just thinking back in the old days when San Jose, Tampa Bay, Florida started in the league... I remember playing NHL '94 on the Super Nintendo and those teams were loaded with absolutely terrible 20 points per year kind of guys. Taking a shot and signing a KHL star for a few years is worth the risk.

I'm not a fan of Vick by any means, but does anyone really know the details of the Vick dog fighting. I was under the impression that his friends/family used his money to fund the dog fighting and that his involvement was mostly financial. It's wrong in many ways, but IMO their is much more poor characters that have played in the CFL then what Vick had done.

Vegas will definitely take Fleury.... The Jets may be able to make a deal with Vegas for a lower quality goalie

I'll say it, he barely talks CFL on his show and when he does it's really in a disinterested manner and he doesn't really provide any kind of info anymore. He's all in on the NHL these days. Bauming when he is on the radio provides way more info.

Lawless kept mellow which I appreciated (I'm not a fan of sports guys ranting all of the time). But at times he was so disinterested and you wouldn't even know if he was on the radio or not. Hustler bases his opinions on his emotions a little to much and does knee jerk frequently. Your point about him being a devil's advocate is kind of true, but his opinion frequently flip flops as often as the rollercoaster fans do on this site. He likes to be the contrarian and I don't think he really believes some of the stuff he says. He'll be missed but he is replaceable. Losing him won't be as huge of a loss as when Irving decides to retire.

Well the dollar is much higher, the cost of living in Las Vegas is decent and well it's damn hot. Almost a no brainer for him to go.

I'll be the negative one in this thread. Lawless was connected and did provide some insider info with the Jets. It will be a loss for getting some "scoops" on what Chevy is thinking. That being said he was absolutely useless on the radio... Hustler does 90% of the talking and Gary really doesn't provide much info or entertainment with their show. He also barely had any interest in the CFL. His shoes can easily be filled if TSN makes any sort of effort replacing him.
