  1. Thorburn and Stuart are really well liked guys...I don't see them ever being cut.
  2. Is he underperforming or is he simply just not able to stay healthy?
  3. I just don't see why it's not worth trying them out... it's not like that they have to keep the guy if he tanks.
  4. I'm willing to give certain guys a 2nd chance.... now Khalif Mitchell on the other hand....
  5. I would easily take John Bowman who gave up on his club in a heart beat... it's not like these guys are known locker room cancers like Duron Carter. Why wouldn't they try to sign Gurley... immediate upgrade and if he's an idiot you cut him and move on.
  6. Lol at people now hating on McDuffie who a few weeks back was a hero and a great move to put him out at receiver!
  7. At least it's not as bad as Etch right???
  8. I love how on these boards if we ever get big receivers certain users will complain "We need speed and guys with good hands".... when we have a group of smaller receivers these same users complain "We need size... we need to get jump balls and we need size". It's hilarious because no matter who we get they will complain. I personally will take smaller guys like Dressler and Smith any day of the week over taller crap players who disappear like Romby Bryant and Aaron Kelly. The issues on this team is far from having guys that are to short playing receiver.
  9. Are we talking about Willy from 2016 or the Willy we had when he first came to the Blue. He clearly wasn't this kind of player when he left Saskatchewan for us and when he started for us a few years back.
  10. Paul Heyman gets some money stooge and swoops in and buys TNA? Can I dream?
  11. No no no no... I watched him play a few weeks ago and he was the only one on the field struggling and dropping balls and killing drives. Do no want!
  12. What is silly is that when I used to live near a school zone the soccer field / play structure which was empty from 4 - 5:30... However the games of soccer were played around 5:30 - 6:30 pm and during the games the area would be full of the players and their siblings. Also during winter time I used to see kids playing on the mini hills sledding towards the streets until late hours of the night. For a city determined to protect the children it's weird that they didn't make these school zones 24 hours. O won't someone please think of the children! What did work well is on Roch they have a couple of very wide speed bumps that forces everyone to slow down unless you wanted to get air or wreck your car. Seems like a much cheaper and safer solution to me.
  13. I've yet to read a scouting report where they ever compliment a QB's arm. Nearly every time it's weak arm...
  14. *If* McKay was projected to be a sure fire player then why would Hamilton trade him? I would think that a draft pick regardless of the round would be of much better potential value then an import receiver in which you can get on your own easily.
  15. Maybe Eric Bischoff swoops in with Ted Turner and all hell breaks loose?
  16. The issue is that they used entrapment on a man with a kind heart to squeeze him of money and then used a flimsy excuse that it is for safety reasons. Meanwhile a person can sell drugs on the street corner and the police will turn a blind eye because the payout/fine usually is only 50 dollars and much more complicated and expensive to collect.
  17. Or he can get an extra 30 grand signing bonus and then retire with a career advertising booster juice for the club
  18. I guess it's better then nothing... I'd rather they would of picked up a draft pick instead since receivers are dime a dozen.
  19. I also like the strategic placement of photo enforcement... always found it bizarre that they would set up a ghost car far away from a school across a field where no kids walk. You would think for safety that they would have that ghost car right in front of the school where they cross to catch buses and what not....
  20. I think WiseUp has a bunch of reports and stats about different methods of increasing safety which the city doesn't use as it doesn't generate revenue. I remember one of them was adding an extra second to the yellow light and/or an extra few seconds for the red lights. They had a study where doing this simple adjustment dropped the accident rate quite a bit in where it was tested.
  21. But why was he hired to "watch" over his brother. The point I'm getting at was that some of my posts were deleted in the past because I brought up that his family had came to Winnipeg a while back and they held an "intervention" and were trying to get Trouba in rehab because off some ice issues. It went along with the Bogsian rumours. Everything does make sense with his brother getting the boot and his family wanting Trouba closer to home. It makes way more sense that his parents are worried about Jacob turning into the next Setoguchi and now with his brother not being under his watchful eye they want him close enough so that they can keep him out of trouble. That story makes way more sense then him wanting more minutes or switching sides and all the weird crap his agent has fed the media. It's not like they want to say Jacob is damaged goods, please sign him for a 7 million dollars because he may be a liability with his off ice problems. Same goes with the Jets... it's not like they want to lower his trade value by saying he's a problem child.
