  1. I've been using my tv extensively over the last month and I can definitely verify that Sharp still makes a very high quality product. My sofa is 18 feet away from the tv and I found that with that distance a 75" tv is the absolute perfect size for it. My recliner where I play lots of xbox games sits around 13 - 14 feet away and on a slight angle from the tv and it is also very comfortable on the eyes. Anything closer I would think the tv would be to large in size to watch comfortably. For the model that I purchased, the FALD does look nice, I have looked closely on games/movies during darker scenes and it does a real good job of keeping the darker areas more black while lighting up the other areas which are brighter. I can't remember what Sharp calls its "smoothing" option, but I had set it on minimum because if you have it on the maximum the soap opera effect is way to distracting and for me it gives me a headache. On the lower setting the faster scenes do look smoother and it doesn't have that weird look to it. The blacks are above average , not as deep as what I saw on the Sony but it's far from being anything that looks washed out or having a tinge of gray in it. The image quality is razor sharp, games look absolutely amazing on it. The smart tv functions are average at best, not as good as most other brands. I've been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 3 as of late and it is jaw dropping gorgeous of a game and the tv really shows this off well. The colors on the tv are very vibrant. I am going to buy an Xbox One S this Holiday season and will see if the HDR support on the game will make any difference at all. I've watched some 4k content and it of course looks absolutely insane. Overall for a $3200 dollar tv this is a great buy and I definitely would recommend it for anyone who wants 75" and that doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg. The difference between this tv and the LG and Sony that are double in price is absolutely minimal at best.
  2. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=142313 http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?encode=TRUE&pid=96549 Phillips is having a great season... 10 wins ... zero losses.... 2.16 GAA and 931 save %. This guy will be the Moose back up next year.
  3. Crazy that a guy was benched for the play offs... it's a good sign that the club at least is making these moves.
  4. They should allow awards to Cross Over..... Coach of the East had a sub 500 record... *If* Fogg return tds had all counted and had he played great in the last 3 - 4 games then I would of picked him easily as the ROTY. Daniels was a good choice.
  5. I would assume *if* Trouba is not in game shape that they want to avoid risking him pulling something or injuring himself by inserting him in the line up to soon. It's not like this season we are in the play off hunt and where every game counts. No need to rush the guy.
  6. Franklin isn't hyped that much. Not nearly as high as Harris or Collaros or even Willy. Troy Smith was hyped even higher then Franklin.
  7. Remember when LeFevour had this kind of hype.. same with Willy..
  8. Wow has time passed... 10 years since that game! It doesn't feel like 10 years ago to me....
  9. I lol'd at the conference call when someone asked Chevy that now that Trouba was signed would the club now put Byfuglien on wing.... hilarious stuff
  10. What's wrong with Glenn coming back as the back up?
  11. Does anyone know what Popp said to the players that apparently pissed them all off earlier in the season? Westwood alluded to it on the radio this morning. Popp really should of hired someone else to coach this season and focused on being the GM.... it would of saved his job.
  12. Bus Ride from Hell? Did anyone challenge Lesnar and did Flair woooooooooOOO everyone while naked?
  13. Our track record for 1st round receivers has been dismal. Draft an olineman to replace Chuungh
  14. Schultz is such a weirdo... on the radio he's even worse. I'm not sure if he acts this way on purpose just to have some fun or if he is just that weird?
  15. I would of been pissed if O'Shea had harris running at the end of the game when we had pretty much sealed the deal. It takes only one play to f the play offs for us ... ask Kevin about that. The Dressler 6 yard pass is super easy to run and incredibly low % chance of injury. My bigger concerns would be the mental errors and Nicholls forcing the ball earlier on...
  16. Lol do you really think the issue with this club is the goalies and not the defense as a whole????
  17. Lol at wanting the Jets to sign a new goalie... come on now. I could see if a talented d-man was put on waivers that they missed out on... but goalie is the one position we do not need to worry about.
  18. His pitch count was 63, he had only given up 4 hits and walked only 1 batter. Chapman worked 1.1 inning and had 35 pitches.... yet they kept him in. Hendricks could of pitched at least another 2 innings.....
  19. Crazy injury bug hitting the team. I have to agree with Ducky... I think Petan really needs to get his name back in the conversation... he seems to have been forgotten these days and pushed behind the slew of other young talent on the fringe.
  20. So do they sacrifice Calvillo and make him HC next season?
  21. So why would they want Dixie involved at all anymore?
  22. I don't remember the player, but it's not very surprising. The gong show of Ocho and Sam were ridiculous and could of easily been avoided. I wonder how much is on Popp and how much is on the owners....
