I'll admit that I'm not following the league as much as I used to. Are we the only team doing this these days? I always thought the CFL was known for frequent turnover and basically only the all-stars would keep their jobs year in and year out?

He had "character" which is significantly more important then football skills and athletic ability.

I always thought in any sports that "character vets" were guys who rode the bench and did the motivation from a distance. They weren't inserted into the starting line up and replacing a better player on the rise.

The degradation or elite play of a QB can determine if a coach is great or dumb. I don't think Zach tossing lame ducks into triple coverage for the first half of the season helped with making Pierce looking good. Same thing happened before when Matt Nichols went noodle arm... suddenly the coaching seemed terrible when the guy wasn't able to throw a 15 yard pass. I'm sure it's a mixture of both which resulted in our team being wishy washy last season. Pierce is gone and if Zach played as poorly as he did last season then Hogan is going to also look like a dumb coach.

So you are saying that you can't compare one QB to another because they've never faced each other? So I wouldn't be able to say that Patrick Mahomes is superior to Zach Collaros because they've never played against each other? Your comment makes no sense. Tre Ford has performed better in the CFL then Strev while having a lesser surrounding cast. So yes comparing one guy vs another he has performed better. Once again... the stats do not lie. The intangibles favour Ford. NFL pension doesn't mean much at all... Are you suggesting that Johnny Manziel who made millions in the NFL was better then any CFL qb who has ever played? Ford is still a work in progress and I wouldn't rate him as a top 5 QB in the CFL at all. I'm at least honest enough to say at this point in time Strev also isn't a top 5 QB in the league and would rank lower then Ford at this point in time.

TLDR: We can make excuses for Bomber players but guys from other teams cannot be given the same luxury. Also we must ignore the stats which show a guy on the worst team outplayed a guy on the best team in the league over a 3 year period.

One guy was playing on the worst team of the league complete with an insane coach and still put up better numbers then a guy who was playing on the best team in the league. What context would you need? Unless you can't figure out the Edmonton Eskimo stats belong to Tre Ford compared to the Blue Bomber Stats being Strev. 3 seasons of stats is more then enough to paint a picture. So if you are going to spin some sort of narrative that Ford cannot be a CFL QB, then at least admit that Strev is even a worse QB for the CFL then him.

The Tre Ford bandwagon of saying he's not CFL QB material needs to stop right now. People are way over reacting on how good/bad he is. If he's not a CFL QB and garbage then what does that make Strevy? Why are people on here not equally outraged that we kept Strev despite him having crappier stats while playing on a significantly better team with way better coaching? Tre is still a work in progress and has had rough moments, but to suggest that he will never be anything all while being confident that Strev is the man is hypocritical. Money/contracts being ignored the Blue Bombers would be in a way better position if they had a much more athletic and younger QB then what they currently have as a back up.

I thought he got into body building two years ago and this is why everyone assumes that he has power.

I drove by Freddies and saw the drive thru with 20 cars deep. Winnipeg people sure like mediocre fast food chains. Then again for dinner I was dragged to Olive Garden and it was jam packed and the pasta that I had was only a minor notch above a microwave dinner. It always blows my mind on why the location on Reenders is always so busy when the food is very expensive and mediocre. Every dish is near 30 dollars and very subpar.

I disagree, places like McDonalds are so expensive now that the Mom and Pa if done right can offer much superior offerings at a similar price.

What I read was that Joss and his husband had a history with all of the neighbours as they would get messed on meth and would do weird stuff such as banging pots and screaming at anyone walking pass the house. Last year when he was on drugs Joss tried heating the house by making a fire pit inside the house and burned it down. The husband apparently was also cooking meth so that's why it went up in flames so quickly. They came back to the neighborhood got into a shouting match with the accused and he went inside and found his rifle and shot him. The police have found zero evidence of a hate crime towards gays but instead a feud between neighbours. The husband posted a rant on Facebook saying it was purely anti gay, however other neighbours posted on Facebook with the claims of drug usage and bizarre behavior. I assume the media is waiting until more info before starting a firestorm.

Maybe it's selective memory but I always feel like we punt near midfield and somehow the opposition ends up getting it on their own 45ish rather then deeper in their own end. I can't actually remember seeing a Sheehan punt and thinking "wow that was a good deep punt".
