  1. Woli in for Schoen ... I kidd....
  2. Jake is a D level player who now at his best is a D+ level. He's old as heck , unathletic, invisible on the field, offers nothing, and is taking valuable reps from anyone else. Woli was an above average non import who when healthy could contribute and make plays. He is younger and had/has way more upside then Thomas. The reason people had no gripes was that Clercius was given a chance to play and performed at the same level so replacing him with a cheaper option is a no brainer. Thomas sucks so badly that they could put anyone on the field and we would see absolutely no drop off. Anyone has better upside then him.
  3. I assume the ideal situation is having him with the club next season as a 3rd stringer and starts 2027? Cut Strev and keep Wilson as backup? Or vice versa?
  4. Who on here is going to want this? The vets that people speak about wanting back are guys who at least at one point "excelled" and were bright spots on the team. At no point that I can remember of anyone who thought Jake Thomas "was the man". My only memories of him going back is that he's a guy that "doesn't get hurt" and has been around a long time.
  5. I wouldn't quite say that, X is probably the largest social media platform for the targetted demo that the CFL would be attracting (male 15 - 50) and of all the social media platforms it is by far among the top for filtering bots and providing a neutral stance. A reminder that what your search interests will reflect on all social media what you see , so if you are reading racists material then it is because of your internet history. I use Twitter and what I see is mainly funny cat videos and lots of video game posts. CFL should have more of a YouTube presence (also full of bots) , maybe they don't own the rights but it would be nice to have classic games complete on YouTube. Either way I agree with BigBlue204 that the only way to attract new fans is the game day experience. It is going to be very tough down the road as kids these days are far less into sports and far more into electronics. Mix in with the declining population as younger people are no longer having families, it will be a tough road 20+ years in the future for the CFL.
  6. They have already created/recorded the 10 additional episodes from what I understood. I'd imagine that John Redcorn is involved in them and Toby Huss does the voice of Dale. Now if they decide to make more episodes down the road I hope they keep Toby Huss, his voice sounded more like the original Dale IMO after watching these new episodes. The original voice actor sounded off (I'm assuming because of his illness?) and it was quite noticeable. D+ she is referring to Disney Plus and not a school grade. The Star Wars franchise I believe has been saturated and the latest shows (Acolyte and Skeleton Crew) have way lower viewership numbers then The Mandalorian. With the crazy costs of 10 - 15 million per episode I can see why these series are being canned. The Star Wars franchise is hurting so much that Disney keeps milking The Mandalorian and trying to shoe horn other characters for spin offs (see Season 3) and they are moving the next part of his show to the theatres with a Mando + Grogu movie. It's one of the few franchises that is generating money and interest. For @iHeart - The reason why Disney + and Netflix and other streaming services have shows with only 1 - 2 seasons is that streaming services uses a formula where they don't want to spend money long term and instead continously pump out shows as the cheapest that they can. Net Flix is more guilty of this but their are multiple interviews and articles talking about how they'll order 2 seasons of a show and unless it becomes an A+ smash hit that they will cut the show off because they don't want to spend the money for any pay raises and bumps in salaries for additional costs. The streaming services has an endless supply of people willing to make new shows (or reboots of old shows) so rather then let a show get into a groove and grow over a long period of time... they would rather throw one show after another against the wall in hopes that one sticks. So even if a show is positively reviewed and starts gaining momentum... they'll rather cut the show off completely and start new with something else because that new show will be at 20% less costs for them. Streaming services still in my own opinion haven't figured things out and I'm not a fan of it. King of the Hill was dumped all in one day which in my opinion was dumb, but it was done because "if" it was not a hit then they would of cancelled next season and move on and then market and pump out something else. I would of rathered it been released on a weekly basis to keep my interest in Disney Plus and King of the Hill over a 10 week period rather then watching it all within a week and forgetting about it. It's just the throw everything at you kind of approach in hopes that you like something and that you will keep your subscription. Quantity over quality.
  7. A couple of different options that I can add to Noeller's list are : Park Cafe at Assiniboine Park - It's affordable and if you get a window seat it's a real nice view. Prairie Edge at Kildonan Park - Sometimes hit and miss, but when it's on it's really good. Feast Cafe Bistro - Indigenous restaurant , I've been several times for breakfast and lunch and it's always top notch. Roasted Nomad on Marion - I have not been but my wife went with friends and they said it was amazing.
  8. I do have another name that can fill in as an emergency receiver. Why not bring back Lucky Whitehead again? Better then nothing and he can return kicks if need be. Also for future self:
  9. Do you own a truck and have access to a large amount of manure? Might need one if this comes true.....
  10. This also doesn't make sense. We have not played Hamilton or Saskatchewan as of yet. The only other team that is over .500 is Calgary who we could not beat. Your statement only has merit had we played and lost to Saskatchewan and Hamilton.
  11. We beat BC in week two who were 1-0. So yes we have beat a team that was +.500 when we played them. The league only has 3 other teams (CGY/SSK/HAM) who are over .500 and two of those teams we have not played a game against them yet. We lost to Calgary 3 times and to Toronto once.... Saskatchewan just lost to Calgary despite having the best record in the league? I don't understand your point?
  12. When we had beat them earlier this year I had said that they were playing really hard with lots of intensity. With more talent that team will be really good.
  13. I remember when this team was able to have guys like Agudosi as depth. Im guessing the guys who were our quality recruiters are now gone?
  14. I'm hoping they can actually do something in the 3rd quarter and if needed make an adjustment or two.... it seems like they havn't been able to do this all season long.
  15. https://consequence.net/2025/08/super-troopers-3-broken-lizard/
  16. Isn't Zach the same age ? We are putting our trust in him and he's had as many if not more injuries.
  17. It wasn't even 3rd quarter on... it was 27-13 at the 3 minute warning! Their was only a minute left when they choose to kick a field goal. Had they punted it would of forced Crum to go deep (which he is not good at) and go the whole length of the field with under a minute left with no time outs. Such a piss poor coaching decision to go for that field goal.
  18. It was his best game this year that's for sure. Unfortunately for him the other guys out shined him by quite a margin.
  19. I will say in the 4th quarter the Redblacks did step it up and Dustin Crum did make some quick decisions and good passes. They definitely stepped it up and executed well during their last few drives. Dru Brown didn't pass for 400+ yards that a few people on here dreamed about, he looked very average himself floating a few lame ducks that were off the mark.
  20. The worst being the field goal right after
  21. I disagree, I don't think the play calls were bad up until that Strev 2nd and 3rd play. Execution was iffy and the o-line definitely needs 2 new fresh faces since Ottawa was easily able to get into our backfield far to often. Wade needs to yell at O'Shea for going for the field goal. Also for not challenging easy challenges such as those 2 pass interference calls on Allen.
