3 turds plus cranky honker don’t say roster management edition
Brandon replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I just wished they would give Wilson some game time when the game was already out of hand. He's the only healthy QB we have who does have some zip on his throws. It would be nice to see what we have in him. -
Nice to see Augustine doing well in Hamilton

This club needs an injection of talent ASAP. No idea on how or who they could get at this point.
-
So do we have any options for qb this season outside of retreads like Dolegala? Do we roll with Wilson? Can MBT be a band aid until next season?
-
Now why would a team extend an aging injury prone qb before the season started?
-
So we blaming this on Kody Case ?
-
We didn't lose last game because of "receivers". What we need is pressure up front from the d-line and a cleaner game by Zach.
-
I wonder how Bluto feels about the Argos this season... that must of been a tough one to watch.

I don't really think we have that major of an issue at receiver. Wheatfall has shown he can make the big plays , Demski has shown he can do what he's always does, Clercius is physical and an improvement over previous NI, and as much as people hate on Sterns he has made 13 receptions on 16 targets and isn't dropping balls or doing anything bad at all. From my non coach eyes the issues on our passing game has come to careless deep balls that are more 40/60 then 50/50 balls where Zach is tossing it into double or triple coverage forcing our receiver to either make an insane catch or at least fight the defender to knock the ball away. In the before time it seemed like he would be doing this in one on one battles where a guy like Schoen/Lawler who are above average can win these battles on a regular basis. I don't mind them going deep when needed... but in a close game with plenty of time left I don't understand the hope and a prayer deep bomb.

Looking at the roster sheet over the last many years... the only name that I would consider outside of Lawler is Sergio Castillo. Kind of shocking at how little they have acquired in free agency over the last 5 seasons. I understand that they had a loaded roster and would spend money trying to retain the stars... but it's really hard to make a list of 5 quality free agent signings during that period. Like Tony Jones is possibly #3 based on how thin that list is. Lofton #4?

The soup is one of the few things they do make from scratch and some staff have posted the recipes online. So you may be able to find one to replicate. Unrelated to Olive Garden.... my wife just let me have a bite of her Wendy's Fuego chickenburger and I can verify that this sandwich has legit heat with it. My mouth is still sizzling a few minutes afterwards!

I was told Booch was THIS GUY!!
-
I think that Olive Garden could do well if they were to open smaller shops that offer soups / salads / breadsticks and maybe a few basic items from the menu and/or sandwiches. The current high prices and extreme low quality of food (outside of the soup/salad) will not work in any new area that more then likely already has far better options. The brand itself also mainly appeals to old white people (similar to Swiss Chalet, Sals, Smittys etc...) so long term I'm not sure it can survive without an update.

Lawler may still have character issues and doesn't fit in to the O'Shea way?

Holy **** Case is going to start, this is such exciting news I can't wait to see what he can do for us! He showed so much potential during pre season and came into the league with such prestige and high praises. Sooooo jazzed about this!!!

Adams peaks and valleys season, you know at some point he will hit a 4 game skid where the back up looks like he will take over for him.

I don't think Thomas playing 8 more snaps is a direct result of us losing the last game. It's just such an obvious bad decision that it makes us lose faith that he will ever make a tough decision when needed. The weird roster management with Canadians and playing certain guys like Thmoas decreases our chance of winning. Why not put the best potential players on the field to give us the highest % chance of winning?
-
I mentioned in the Elks game that those guys were playing hard and very intense despite losing. Our D front 7 on D just doesn't seem to have any oomph outside of Kramdi. The visuals of Thomas being tossed around like a child really doesn't help give the impression of a team that is pushing anyone around.
-
I don't believe Henderson has had anything with exception of a Wendy's 20 years ago.
-
I don't think Walters is el cheapo and has paid big money for players. What I have noticed lately is that the overall quality of recruitments over the last 3 - 4 seasons has been a large step down from before. We've found some good dbs but elsewhere it's been a whole lot of mediocrity. With O'Shea fixated on starting mediocre guys rather then giving new blood a chance to shine it really feels like this club is squeezing the sponge of the high talent they brought in 5 years ago and eventually once we lose a few more key guys this team really doesn't have the ammo to replace them.

We have hope for Brown in 2027.... unless they extend Zach for another year during this off season.

Ouch giving up 50 points to the Ti-Cats, Argos are spiraling.
