It would be interesting to know what determines playing one guy over another from the mind of O'Shea. I can understand character issues if you have self destructive guy who can be a cancer for a locker room for which his athletic / gameday ability is great but the overall value afterwards isn't worth it. I can't imagine over the last many years that we brought in guys who fit that negative criteria for which we dress a Navy Seal with D- level skills over numerous players who clearly have a much better upside.

I watched it last night and thought the documentary was underwhelming and all over the place. The timelines kept bouncing around, the director kept flip flopping between comedy and serious tones, and they didn't dig deep on who he is (was) and basically allowed this guy to put on a show to satisfy his narcissitic needs. It was weird that they only had his ex wife on for a few minutes when she would of been best able to explain what his true personality is like. She had one line about him being conniving and a liar. They should of expanded and provide examples of where in public he was a friendly funny guy, but behind closed doors he was a bad guy. They had a few of his old co workers, but most of the people on the doc were Red River students who barely knew him. Does he have a drug problem? He alluded to it? What about his affair with a student for ten years? How did his wife and him end up so broke so quickly? What is he doing today? He seems to be working at a bar/restaurant? What did he use the money for his robberies? How does he own a house now? So many questions left unanswered. Could of been much better.

Wow I feel old... 25 years on TSN and I can still vividly remember him as a player. Losing him is definitely the biggest hit on an already iffy panel. I would cut Kate, Milt, Barker, Muamba and find anyone with a slight bit of personality plus football knowledge. Once BLM retires from playing he'd make a good addition. He was far more engaging then the few times they had a doofus like Henry Burris on air. As much as everyone hates Suitor, he is good when calling a non Riders game. The newer PBP guys are both doing better as time goes on and outside of Marshall having an accent on a few words he's really good. Sanchez comes off unlikeable but his football knowledge that he provides is light years better then Milt who states the obvious and offers very little insight. I'm hoping that LaPolice is on tv far more if Matty is really gone.

It's odd... throughout the season at no point did anyone write we were lucky that we won a game by 4 goals... most games that had such a vast lead we were jubilant about how much we kicked butt and how great it was. Yet when it happens to us... bad luck / it doesn't count. I'd feel way more confident for game 7 and further on if our losses were by a single goal + empty netter or something where the score was close. Nobody can be confident when you get blasted three times in a row on the road and outscored 17 - 5. The delusional fans who think that this stat is misleading are in fantasy land. Very concerning and not the showing of a #1 team.

I wasn't aware that when a score indicated 5 - 1 that this is a close game and not being blown out? That's a blow out. You can't pick assess a game purely on the parts that a team does well... you have to factor in the full game. Constantly on these boards people rag on Trevor Harris for putting up "garbage time stats" and that they don't count... how come when the Jets collapse and give up a tonne of goals that we can ignore that? The end result of this last game was that we got our ass kicked badly.

The score indicates that yes they are being blown out.

Is it normal that the #1 team in the league gets blown out and struggle to get past a 1st round of the play offs.... I would of expected us to handle the first few series with ease.

It could work if someone were to rap over it... throat singing by itself may drive many people to throwing up. I've heard it in person and while neat it did make several of the ladies run for the bathroom.

From what I recall Laine had a video game addiction and was incredibly lazy. Coaches do not like him. Blake Wheeler ktfo Evander Kane and that's about all I've heard.

Have you not watched the last ten years of TSN? They cycle through the same 3 commercials over and over and over and over again. The options are limited with the amount of sponsors for the CFL. The CFL is so niche outside of the prairies that I can't imagine a big company like Wendys or Subway attaching themselves with an expensive ad campaign featuring an unknown person like Dru Brown. The Wendys kick to win was a successful novelty long time ago, nowdays I don't think would even notice. Other campaigns like the ones with save on really only draw attention from the old timers. TV advertising is wasted money these days, if they are trying to attract a younger demographic then the only place they could get eyes is with social media for which the CFL and the clubs already do heavy advertising. Honestly the best thing the CFL could do is push teams to follow the Ottawa/Winnipeg game day experiences.

Most East Indian, African, and Caribbean places have goat. I've seen it on the menu at many places around town. Now if you can find a place that serves horse meat like how it is in Europe , that would be unique.
