Rolly is retired now I believe. There aren't any active locals in the UFC at this point so unless they sign some (I think there are 2 guys that have a shot), there might not actually be too many Canadians on the card. A lot of them are fighting in Edmonton in September as too so while a December fight is still possible, it might rule some of them out. Fight Night cards might lack some of the star power but they usually have guys hungry to make a name for themselves & move to the next level. Saskatoon's event had Max Holloway in the main event a couple years ago and look at him now.

It's far too early to really start predicting the fight card but I doubt we get JJ defending her title here (would love it though). It's a busy month for the UFC with 4 events (2 ppv's & 2 fight nights so I'm guessing the real big fights will be saved for the ppv's.

The UFC has it up on their coming events page now but it's still not 100%. They're trying to workout the logistics (jets game Thursday and moose game sunday) with the MTS centre. Haven't talked to the commission yet either but that shouldn't be an issue.

I feel your pain. We had a group of STH's like that, right behind us the last couple years & they either moved or didn't renew this year so I've been happy about that. We lost them but gained one new guy who is just as bad. He bailed early last night too so i hope he keeps it going!

Yep, it was a pretty late flag & Medlock was pretty well into his routine already. I think someone eventually clued Bob in about it because when another caller brought it up later, Bob called it a practice shot and said it had nothing to do with icing him.

I think Bob was confused because he didn't see (or remember) Medlock kicking the ball a millisecond after the challenge flag was thrown out, he only talked about the kick after the challenge failed. The 1st kick did go through but I don't think for a second Medlock was "iced". It's not like it's the only kick he's missed lately so I just chalk it up to s**t happens and he'll bounce back.

Not enough stupid nicknames to be Nate. He does seem to create just as many ridiculous threads though.

Edmonton brought in Flo Rida to play at half time last year as well so it's not just guys 20 years past their heyday.

Only thing I can think of was that he got up kinda slow at one point towards the end of the Argo game & looked to be in some discomfort. Wonder if he re-aggravated his injury from TC or if it's something new?

The wife and I finished watching The Son a few weeks ago & thought it was pretty good. I won't go into to it yet since you've only watched the 1st episode. Hell on Wheels was one of our shows too, although I felt it kinda fell off in season 5.

Try to keep up Ripper. The issue isn't closing a practice, it's Jones crying about spies rather than focusing on the play of his team. FWIW, the Bombers have also closed a practice this season as well. Biggest diffence between the 3 cases is that one HC is pulling claims out of his ass & the other 2 are just going about their business.
