Like I said, the Riders had inside info and a lot of luck on their side and still barely managed to eke out a win. I'll give props for a decent defence but that offence looks dreadful.

I can't believe how ridiculous the Rider propaganda machine is. According to their fans, Bond looked great and everyone had him written into the lineup in ink. But as soon as he gets cut, well he showed up out of shape and looked awful. They are so pathetic over there.

Interesting but he hasn't played in awhile. I am curious to see what kind of shape he's in because he was a stud last time he was in Hamilton.

I had it playing in the background but I swear I heard Coach use the term "rest hold". Also when Rusev was climbing the ladder he clearly motioned for the Miz to come knock him off. Geez. What is happening.

I think it's silly to expect a rookie to play as well as the reigning MOP. Streveler played a decent game and threw more TDs than any other QB in week one. He certainly played a lot better than Drew Willy... I don't care what the stats say. The stats said Drew Willy was an all star in early 2016 but he lost his job because we all know that wasn't true.

Ok. There will be no crowd noise and Montreal will passively allow Streveler to do as he pleases.

Jennings had a good day running the ball against Montreal. I'd like to see Streveler do the same.

Hostile meaning they are not the home crowd, i.e. they are cheering and making noise when our offence is on the field. Looked pretty aggressive last night.

Hoping Leggett comes back but I wouldn't count on Wild or Lefrance returning and I'm not sure it would make a big difference if they did. Curious to see how Streveler handles an aggressive Montreal defence and a hostile crowd.

This final drive is classic Drew Willy. Get a meaningless TD to make the game look close but ultimately a loss is a loss. Never mind they couldn't even pull off the garbage time TD.

The problem is other top pick RFAs like Eichel and likely Matthews getting 10+. On one hand they are centres, on the other hand teams tend to pay more for goals than points and Laine was second in goals... one of only eight 40+ goal scorers last year. Trouba will get less than 8 but I'll be surprised if Laine comes in any lower than 9.

I'd like to see the Als win tonight but I don't want them to have momentum heading into their game against Winnipeg next week. I do expect the Als to have a very strong defence this season. The question mark is on Drew Willy. If he can somehow revive his career, the Als could make some noise. If he is same old Willy, they have no chance.
