  1. Notice how @The Unknown Poster always says "conversation over" when he is clearly in the wrong. He will always debate to the last word when he believes he is correct so it's such an obvious tell that he is in the wrong when he starts to make spurious claims like I'm trying to get the thread shut down.
  2. Pretty interchangeable if you ask me. However this is kinda a silly discussion.... it's a jersey number.
  3. Because you are lying.
  4. Really? Was it me who called me Sean Hannity? Huh weird I thought it was someone else
  5. We could always just ban him
  6. Ironically I was talking about US politics and the thread has turned to talking about ME.
  7. I've never gotten mad when other don't agree with me and I'm not sure where you're getting that.
  8. I said I bring a different view to the discussion. You said a discussion doesn't need all views. To me that means my view is not welcome in the discussion but please feel free to clarify.
  9. Ryan Reaves is a good guy too. Not sure what issue @Goalie has with him.
  10. Haha what did you just say???
  11. I'm not sure what the issue is here. We've recruited garbage QBs under Walters, there's really no way around it.
  12. It's not about developing our own QB it's about having adequate depth at the position. And under Walters, when our starting QB has gone down, the depth behind him has killed us. Whether that is Brohm, Marve, LeFevour, or Davis. It would be nice to have a capable backup.
  13. How come @Mike posts camp updates to the official forum but not the forum he runs???
  14. Gauthier is a bubble player anyways... Bighill might just be able to wait him out and take his number for free.
  15. I do think SJ is a good spot for him but really... best case scenario you're looking at a 30-goal, 60-point guy. Absolute best case. He has hit 30 goals once and his best two seasons points-wise were 54 and 57. He gets injured lots. He has attitude problems. He doesn't play centre at all. He is streaky. He's not a smart player. He's ineffective on the PP. How he is worth 7x7 I'm not sure. At a certain point you could bank on his potential but at 27 years old... he is what he is. This contract looks bad now and in 3 years it will look dreadful. He's not the kind of guy who will be able to play well into his 30s based on hockey IQ because he relies on his speed and strength to be effective. Good luck San Jose.
  16. And he'll be riding the bench by week 9 and god only knows who the starter will be in the back half of the season.
  17. The host doesn't really have to be that knowledgeable but I would assume after a decade of working at TSN and a lifetime living in Canada that yes, she does have some knowledge of the CFL.
  18. Tough to argue with this. They haven't seen much success. Hall was actually pre-Walters so I don't include him in the list but everything else is spot on. If they had not hit such a home run with Nichols (and that was a desperation trade when Willy went down), who knows where they would be? But Nichols has bought them some time to find someone new and I'm excited for our current prospects.
  19. I like it. Kate is a fun host.
  20. So because I suppprt an opposing view I'm not welcome in the discussion?
  21. It's okay for a ruling to help the D. If the defender gets there early, it's PI. That hasn't changed. Of course judgment calls will always be there... but less judgment calls is preferable, IMO. I just never liked the situation where it's "Well he would have come down in bounds." How do you know? That's an assumption that may or may not be correct. And your argument that "they barely call the rule correctly now" is actually an argument for scrapping the rule altogether. If it's really that difficult to enforce then it's probably too much of a grey area and should be eliminated.
  22. Depth is good! I seem to recall having both Adams and Dressler out at the same time last year and our receiving corps was basically a joke. Now, hopefully, we can withstand that a little better.
  23. Are opposing viewpoints so scary that mine must be shut down? I make a point, someone counters it with one of their own. Someone else makes a point and I counter it with one of my own. It's discussion. Without me you'd all just be high-fiving each other about how right you are.. and what good is that?
  24. The NFL got rid of the forceout rule a decade ago and they're better off without it IMO. I've never been a fan of the rule. You either land in bounds or you don't. Who's to say that someone would have landed in bounds if they weren't contacted? It's a judgment call and the less of those the better.
