He has played some special teams as recently as last season in the NFL and caught a handful of balls (16 receptions over 4 years in the NFL, but only 3 since 2015). He could very well prove to be a great addition for the Stamps but he is also a guy who had a single great season five years ago and hasn't seen much action since. Hard to know what they're getting.

Not sure if he would or not. 2012 Chris Matthews would be great. Who is 2018 Chris Matthews? I don't know and neither do you or anyone else here. Guess we will find out shortly.

I would have liked to see Chris Matthews sign here but I don't think it's that big of a deal missing out on him.

I'll take 17-3 at the half in Edmonton. Defence and special teams look outstanding. Nichols still a little shaky but he's playing the role of game manager and at this point I think that's about the best we can expect.

They will start Nichols next game and it will be a blowout against Montreal, getting the team back on track. It has been a bad run but this team is not dead in the water. The bye week came at the perfect time. I predict a crossover spot and a run to the East final or Grey Cup. Those predicting 1-5 or 0-6 over the final six games are simply reacting to recent events rather than taking a 10000 foot view and considering the entire picture. Looking forward to the final third of the season.
