Why are so many in Jets Nation eager to get rid of Byfuglien?
I can't imagine anybody giving him that. This summer seemed to be a turning point for fiscal sanity. There were no truly awful contracts signed. Giving Buff 8.5M per would fall into that category. I think that would make him the highest paid dman in the league.

I read a great line about this: "Most American Sentence Ever - Texas Police Arrest Muslim for Science"

U.S. Federal Election
What a clown show that debate was. You keep waiting for somebody to say they're just kidding, at which point the real candidates will walk out and have an adult conversation about actual important topics. CNN played into the joke by doing everything they could to make them fight. It wasn't "explain your position" type of questions, but moreso "Trump said this about you, please respond to him".

TSN's Cullen: The Future Could Be Now for The Jets
IMO Peluso will be watching a lot of games this season. This lineup (those 20 guys, not necessarily those lines) is how I would have it, minus Peluso. I think it could be Fraser in that spot, but I bet it's wide open to be won.

What about the guy leading the league in sacks?

Lawless: Chill Out, Let Miller & Co Do Their Jobs
Dave Richie went 13-22-1 in his first two seasons with the Bombers. 14-4 in year three.

2015 NHL Free Agency
Your depth doesn't have to be rookies though. Halischuk and Fraser are two examples of veteran guys who might get pushed to the AHL by rookies.

Lawless: Chill Out, Let Miller & Co Do Their Jobs
Lawless seems to like these guys personally, which I'm sure is playing into him preaching patience.

Bombers trade for rights of Tajh Boyd
I think that comment suggests Bob is talking out of his ass and has no idea what our backup situation will look like next season.

Election 2015
Very interesting. Did the opposition really expect a deficit this year even with the government repeatedly saying they were on track for a surplus? Because it seems the Liberals especially cornered themselves on the economy by hammering Harper and essentially saying "well since we're in deficit, *we* are going to manage that deficit properly and invest in infrastructure" and now that the surplus was announced, it makes the government seem like the "good economy" government and the opposition like reckless spenders. I think the lies over the dead refugee child are playing into this too. Im somewhat perplexed at the Liberals rising so much. is that left-ist voters swinging back and forth between Libs and NDP? Might the ABC crowd all "choose" a party to park their vote? And will one of the opposition play on that by saying "look, the only way to stop Harper is for those of you voting for the Liberals to vote for us NDP'ers instead" (or vice versa)? Disagree. I don't think most people care about this nearly as much as you do. I think it's more likely most Canadians have either forgotten about it or don't even know who Fin Donnelly he is. The bigger issue, imo, is that a lot of Canadians agree with Harper's stance that he doesn't want to just open the borders and let refugees flood in. People have been conditioned to be scared of people from that part of the world, so they don't want them in our country.

Their oc really liked the fake end-around.

Nichols is the man.
In a shocking first for this forum, a joke has been taken too far.

Patrick Kane Under Investigation - Alleged Rape
I can't see LA being able to get away with it, especially when they didn't do it to a guy convicted of something worse. It's way too transparent what they're trying to do with Richards.

Austin bumps Stala - pays $5,000 fine
Unless he wants to come out of retirement and answer for it he shouldn't be touching the players.

Nick Moore Out 1 -2 Weeks
I'd bring him back on a bonus-heavy deal, if he'd take it. He's very good "when healthy".

Baby Jets game tonight
Time to fire Chevy and burn it to the ground.

Nichols is the man.
Almost like a guy named Crompton who was 4th on the depth chart and went on to become a 7-1 starter for another team..... what team did he play for before he joined the Als?? Coincidentally because the Esks made a mistake thinking that Nichols was better than Crompton. Nichols is better than Crompton.

Overtaking the Lions & Alouettes
IMO we're a better team than BC and Sask and pretty even with Montreal and Toronto. Ottawa is better than us and Calgary, Hamilton, & Edmonton are the class of the league. We should come out of Montreal with a win if Marsh is their qb.

His arm strength surprised me.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
If I'm Walters and and the top bid is well over $200k, I shake his hand and wish him well in his new home.

BANJO BOWL
I think Kearney will stay on on the 44. I can't see us going without a backup import db. I think we'll sit Veltung and Johnson. Veltung isn't necessary if he's not starting at receiver or our primary returner.

Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania
My all-time favourites list: 1. Hogan 2. Rock 3. Savage 4. Bret Hart 5. Rick Martel Martel was the AWA champ when I was a little kid and first got into wrestling. I didn't know other wrestling organizations even existed until Wrestlemania. Then I became a hardcore Hulkamaniac.

Election 2015
Fraser had to explain investing to you, so you can explain this to the rest of us. well oil is a pretty subjective term at the best of times and tar is something specific itself. I mean there's lots of types of oil in the world and what differentiates them is the kinds of hydrocarbons that make up the mixture. It's not like you mine or drill for oil in the oil sands, what you're getting out is bitumen and it takes processing and refining to separate out the more useful lighter hydrocarbons. That is also why western canada select generally sells at a lower price than Brent Crude or West Texas Intermediate. It's heavier and doesn't have as many of those really useful lighter hydrocarbons. It's hard to explain over the course of a few sentences, but when you see the difference between oil, heavy oil and bitumen it's just so obvious. I just find that a lot of people really tend to over simplify the oil industry. Interesting. Thanks.Isn't the biggest problem with the "oilsands" how much energy it takes to extract it? I don't know too much about it, but isn't a shitload of water used in the process? 2nd question: how different is what we have compared to the shale oil?

Good job on the scoop.
