Another thing re: Demski... We know the Bombers like the guy. They worked like bastards to get up to where they could draft him, but Taman jumped the queue. Bombers wanted wanted him bad, tho... No question.

That's a crazy story... But I'd believe it. As both a fan and a broadcaster, I can tell you he's absolutely the best there is. I think the guy legitimately enjoys what he does, and on the reduced schedule, he can probably fulfill the contract. As someone earlier in this thread said, look how long Scully lasted... The REALLY sad/disgusting part of all this, is the number of women who have been raped and or assaulted......that's the sad/disgusting part. Don't get me wrong, it's sad that maybe there's some guys not as guilty as others, but on the flip side, there's still guys not getting noticed for the egregious things they're doing. Society makes me sad.

what does money have to do with it? I'm more concerned with who's clean and who isn't. Who's cheating? The entire Russian nation is so corrupt from the top down...every facet of their way of life...

My honest belief is that something has changed schematically for this team....I don't know enough to know what, but I think they're actually doing something different on the ice that's locking things up better and not allowing as much of a free for all for other teams.

It's interesting because Russian athletes aren't banned...just the Russian Olympic Team, as an organization. Russian athletes can participate, but only as independents under a neutral flag. And they have to pass a pee test.

The Bezan thing will go away quickly, because it was relatively minor. Just another example of how we need a full-body-off restoration of our culture. Things have to change...the way we speak has to change. The way we think has to change. It's been too wrong for too long. If it means we're "too PC" right now, then so be it....it's better than the other way.

I hate that culture got to the point where sex assault became accepted behaviour.......I'll take some "overly political correctness" instead.

Louie DeBrusk is outstanding...shame he only does national games. The best 1-2 punch in the game is Cuthbert/Ferraro....there's nothing better in hockey, anywhere, period. Shame they only get to call regional games.
