The street name is still going to be called Matheson Road. Instead of changing the actual street name like they did for Milt Stegall Drive the city started to do this honorary option. The honorary street names are initially for 5 years but then can be renewed.

At least more of the crowd will be cheering for the Bombers compared to 2007 and 2011. Hopefully that makes a bit of a difference.

Yeah, crazy that the last time the Bombers played an Eastern team in the Grey Cup was against the TiCats in 1984. The Bombers' last 7 appearances have been against Western opponents.

Yeah, but I wouldn't blame O'Shea's first two playoff loses on Nichols. I believe he did enough to beat the Lions and Esks. It was just bad defence and poor offensive play calling that did the Bombers in.

O'Shea has quickly improved his playoff record with the Bombers to 3-3. Which is a lot better than after that O-2 start with those stinkers against BC and Edmonton.

I got my flights (great WestJet deal at the time) and hotel (downtown is expensive) but need game tix. We will prolly wait until we get to Calgary to sniff around for tix. Definitely looking for something on the Bombers' side of the stadium. I'm not sure if the Bombers will have a charter but it's entirely possible that WestJet or Air Canada will add flights from the Peg.

I was at the 2011 and 2007 games and 2007 was much worse. Back then the Riders were still loveable losers and 80 percent of the Skydome was green. It would be great to see the Bombers in a Grey Cup with most of the crowd on their side.

I think the bigger news coming out of Regina today is that the Riders practiced indoors. Like come on, the weather (-6c) was similar to Winnipeg's and the Bombers were outside.

The media is there today and Friday. So far there are reports - 20 minutes into practice - that he hasn't thrown a ball yet.

I'd feel more at ease if the Bombers have the ball down by 2 with two minutes left than if the Riders need to score with two minutes to go. The Bombers' defence hasn't proved to me they can stop teams when it matters. Sure there was the last game of the season but how many games have they pissed away both in the regular season and playoffs?

During a normal week like this one, the Bombers are only required to give the players one day off. They can have 4 official practices if they want to.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bombers are in meetings today and doing a walk-through on the field. In the past the team has held practices early in the week that they haven't announced to the media.

You're prolly joking but the draft is only a couple of weeks before training camp. Does a team really want to wait that long to determine their QB situation? Besides, the 1st round pick doesn't have to be from 2020. If the Bombers signed Zach after the draft the Argos would get a pick from a future draft. Also if the Bombers do sign Zach it looks like Walters and the Argos can negotiate what draft year the 1st rounder will come from. If the Bombers win the Grey Cup this year that pick from 2020 would be 9th over-all.

It's crazy how even though the Stamps have had a dominate team lately they have only won the Grey Cup twice this decade. In fact all teams have won a Cup in the last 10 years except for the Bombers and the TiCats. All the more reason for the Bombers to win it all this year. Need everyone to start talking about the TiCats having gone over 20 years without a Cup win. #1999

They are only closing the practices to fans as media can watch the Weds and Friday practices. Fajardo wasn't planning on practicing until Thurs (which is closed to the media) so we may not find out how he's doing until Friday.
