Yeah, the way they go on you'd think their team as been a dynasty for the last decade. Reality is they have won 2 Grey Cups since the Bombers last won. While that's 2 more than the Bombers it is still less than the average. BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal have all won more Cups since 1990 than the Riders.

I wonder if the league's change to only 1 challenge a game has affected Jennings and Reilly more than other QBs. Perhaps DBs were more tentative before and Jennings was able to compete more of those long balls.

If he was serious and if the Riders really wanted him they could have worked something out. He could have signed for two years like all rookies do but at some point the Riders could have put him on the practice roster. Then when he is added to the active roster he signs a new one year contract.
