If pokey is your 3 you're in a great spot. He is at worst a solid #2. But you can't have all of the same type as him. We just don't have a lot of. Variety in our top guys.

I mean Wilson moves the needle if we're just talking about receivers.... And maybe we've had other guys who can move the needle there but don't get the chance because our team has decided to make our offense feature 3 Canadian receivers. This is pretty much the entire point that gets argued... Unless there's a void where no vet can fill it rookies don't get a chance on this team.

We have coaches that pretty much refuse to make changes to who is playing unless forced by injury so i would reserve some judgement on the GM at this point. The lack of accountability on the field is the #1 issue for this team right now.

I am convinced Jake Kelly is only torso the way he tackles. Which is fundamentally a problem given how this system seems set up for the safety to come down and make tackles.

I dunno how well some guys know how to tackle.... I see guys constantly trying to make tackles with only their shoulders..... Is it anyone wonder opponents break tackles in that scenario?

Not like anyone is suggesting bring in Geno Lewis as a #1 option, just as a veteran guy who brings a type of receiver we lack and might be able to make some plays and help the offense from the standpoint of he could be a supplemental guy in an offense that realistically needs to spread the ball around to be successful. Not like you'll find anyone better at this point in the season. Plus signing a veteran with a reputation of being a top guy (even if he's well past it) might give some other guys a bit of a kick in the ass to step it up.

Thing is his flaws used to be able to be overlooked because of the positives... But after 13 years he's a lot more stubborn and doesn't have the prime guys that he rode hard. I believe we need a change and if the coach won't change himself then it might be time to consider a change at the position.

Once upon a time maybe, but O'Shea has overseen this decline and done nothing to indicate he can recognize or that that he is willing to change. He has been here for a long long time. No one coaches in one place forever, least of all people who can't adapt

So the point is, when you get a supremely talented team that by the coaches own admission ran the room and you also had coordinators at the time who had been head coaches doesn't that perhaps speak to the limitation of our head coach? I want a coach who gets the most out of his roster. If you're doing that and still losing then you know exactly where the problem areas are. When the coach isn't getting the most out of his roster it is a lot harder to separate the good from bad
