Yeah no one dislikes Brady getting a big contract, just the idea he can reset the market a d get 250k +... that's a laughable number for a runningback. Sucks for him but the position is expendable. Those guys get thrown into the meat grinder and beaten up and replaced.

Mike O'Shea has had roster building blind spots from day 1, to deny that is to deny reality. Does any other team dress players routinely who don't take a single snap anywhere on the field? That should tell you everything about the infallibility of the coaches roster decisions.

In the same way Damian Jackson can play DE... ie. Not well.

Biggest difference is that gray has value in being able to play multiple roles on the ol. Kola is centre or bust and only had the job because of osheas views on roster building. Eli was is and will be the better player.

Would you rather be juked by a qb or trucked by a qb? Defenders now have that choice to make.

When he's on the field Jeffcoat is still legitimately one of the best defensive players in the league... problem is he can't stay healthy for a whole year and needs to be spelled off a bunch to maintain that effectiveness. Can't really over pay for that type of usage. This is where Kyle walters and Co. Need to earn their keep and bring in younger cheaper and quality players.

I believe the logic there is you gotta be good to be lucky and making plays at key times is what that team did all year.

Uhhhhhh no he has proven it. Bennett was the invisible man all season. Kongbo wasn't a world beater... but he could at least contribute something positive in the rotation.

In his first go around Eli was ahead of guys like gray on the depth chart and I really don't see a reason for that to not still be the case. Guy is good and brings a level of physicality that has been lacking.

Some bloggers pretending to be media will tell you he was, but he really wasn't. Anything special. He did good work as a fill in type centre, but his ceiling is pretty much limited to that.

Not sure I agree entirely... Eli was a road grader and should be playing ahead of both kola and gray IMO.
