0%... A clearly injured Zach but he might be able to limp through it would be maybe a 25% chance Brown would get the start. Ego... He is rightly taking a lot of heat for that decision and he needs to justify it because Maier sure as **** isn't doing it for him.

The injury prone thing really in my opinion sums up Booch thinking in several areas... And it really a competitive athlete mentality... Do the work you won't get hurt as readily. Similar to the idea that guys with God given talent will just make it work. It stems from I think the belief that everyone is going to work as hard as you therefore the more natural talent the better. It's super common in the sporting world and why some players with gobs of talent get a million chances even if they can't translate that into the field. But I think the overall impact is far more nuanced than that... And yes injury prone is a real thing. Some people just have bad luck, defective factory parts or put themselves in situations where they're getting hurt.

You're pretty hung up on a guy who hasn't accomplished much of anything in the CFL. Fact is the tican'ts went and signed Ford as a backup.... That they don't seem to embrace that is the issue here.

Yeah osh ain't taking collaros' job away unless collaros is in a wheel chair and even then I'd need to see it to believe it.

Where you are drafted does matter because in theory you're taking guys you believe have the most upside there. And when you're building a roster the you SHOULD do it, is plug in your best Canadians and fill in around them.... for me Smith is a top 3 or 4 canadian on our team based on his play. He should be a lock to start. Meanwhile I don't believe that Cobb or Corcoran are in that top tier of Canadian players on our roster so they should not be starting. It's just that simple.

I disagree and here's why.... we have drafted Canadians high at linebacker and receivers we have not. We have some blue chip Canadians at linebacker but not at receiver.... thisnis big picture thinking.... use your Canadians at linebacker where you've spent your draft capital and use Americans at receiver. This is big picture roster usage thinking.

At some point, you need to move on... give brown those same things for example and he can be a top qb for a long time too. Longer than collaros. I get you're a fan of the guy... but collaros has been part of the issues on this team too.

Well we have watched him the last 3 years... and at his age and style of play he ain't magically gonna get better.

Yeah I was of the opinion that when Brown was an upcoming FA we should have traded collaros to Ottawa and kept Brown and let he and Streveler run the show. Collaros is a diminishing asset who hasn't been worth the price tag for years.

If I'm trading any qb it's collaros.... he's near the end of the road and isn't a long term option. Better to run with Brown and see what Elgersma develops into.

Lawler earned a few catches the hard way too and that's really all you can do against a guy like that sometimes.

Thought the D was actually decent tonight even when bo was still playing. Any time you get a win with Elgersma taking most of the snaps you take it and run.... but never should have happened. This is why you put Dru Brown on the roster after you trade for him.

Singer made some plays in preseason, there's no reason he can't be the 5th receiver as a guy who maybe gets forgotten about and has a big game here and there... because the best we'll get out of cobb or Corcoran is a few catches for first downs. And that's our depth in the even pokey or demski goes out during a game. It's almost criminal.

So instead of having guys on the roster who might step up we have pedestrian at best backups who the best you can say is " they won't trip over their own feet"

It's complacency. No one loses their job no matter what happens in camp or in games so there's no fire.

if it was just this season sure, but as I explained before, the grace period was the prior season. Now Kyle Walters looked like he learned some lessons after last year and made some big moves in free agency, but have we seen the coaches learn any lessons? Early returns say no and patience doesn't last forever when we've seen the decline happening in real time for a few years now.
