Zach isn't blm or Nichols... blm is a pure pocket passer so age is less of an issue compared to collaros who when you think of his career highlights includes the houdini act escaping pressure with his legs and finding the play downfield... he's lost a step and can't perform that magic. He's also not Nichols... he has always sucked at the short quick game. Again, he's a buy time find a play type qb.

I personally expect him to be up and down all season. We shall see which one of us is disappointed at year end.

Collaros needs too much help at this point. The issue though he's paid like a guy who can carry the team which means he gets less help.

Walters ever not prioritize the OL/DL with one of his first couple picks? Legitimately curious because I can't remember. Seems like there's always a lineman of some type taken early by walters.

yeah I came here to say, dude didn't get all those NFL chances just because he could run from the qb spot and be a gimmick. He accomplished far more in the NFL than Rourke did as an example. Free Streveler and don't run him into a brick ******* wall head first every down and see what happens.

No OL in the cfl is good enough to protect a qb who holds onto the ball for a long time but can't escape anymore. Collaros used to be able to dodge pressure and make things happen, now he gets buried by pressure. It's sad, but the dude is not the same guy he was when he first got here. Age is a mother f'er

The sun shines on every dogs ass now and then. Games like that are the exception with collaros these days.

And I think what's happened is collaros has gotten dinged enough he's past his best before date. He was running away with the MOP award 2 years ago and then was awful and was out performed in the same scheme as Brown, last year collaros struggled hard most of the time too. Now whether it was collaros or buck I can't say for sure, but I really do believe that the problems are that collaros can't adapt anymore and he's making everything else look.worse as a result.

If it was a one off you got some traction there.... but we're on 3 straight years of making excuses for the top paid qb in the league...

Kolankowski never had a best before date, he's always been what he is. The point is, if they wanted a change at centre eli is right there... but kolankowski on a cheap contract is not the same situation as Dobson expecting to be paid like a top OL. Honestly if Wallace steps up like expected I'd be shocked if he isn't retained at whatever the cost to do it is. You're angry about Dobson, fine but you can't ver pay everyone just because.

I'd they wanted to replace kolankowski they could have done it at any time.

I feel like a lot of this stems from Dobson... walters was pretty clear about that, he flat out said despite Dobson being an Allstars they didn't feel he had that great a season. Sense i get is that the team is way way higher on Wallace. The guy to lament losing is desjarlais when he returned from the NFL. The rest of them it's nothing that can't be handled.
