Don't discount the kick in the ass factor. Like for example a vet like Moxey gets Sat down because he's useless doesn't that light a fire under his ass? Doesn't that light a fire under everyone else's ass because it might happen to them... Doesn't that light a fire under the backups ass knowing that maybe they will get a shot. This country club we run where once you're tenured you're untouchable is damaging. Vets used to run the room? Great when your vets are that type but since that type isn't here or if they are are so far past their prime then the coaches need to take some of that responsibility back.

If this was all suddenly new we could just blame the players but there's been clear trends for at least 4 years now. That falls back to coaches and how they're running the team

But these issues have gone back several years now.... And there's never consequences.... See no one is absolving the players of the mistakes they make or the poor efforts but when you have seen things slipping for the same issues for years now you need to look at who's running the team and what's the issue there where the same problems are recurring.

Wheatfall was very hit or miss here. He is not a guy to get your panties in a twist about. You should be able to find a half dozen guys like that for training camp every year.

Which is such a puzzling take .. O'Shea has had some iffy decisions the whole time he's been here but he will always be a legend for that run .... But no coach lasts in one place forever and sometimes you need a change in message

I think you have this amazing ability to gloss over everything a coach can do to put players in positions to succeed and prepare them. I mean the defense gave the team a ton of chances with the ball late but they didn't take advantage of it for a lot of reasons including some coaching ones. Like for example Stanley Bryant has been embarrassing himself every game this seasons. Coaches needed to convince him to hang them or or even cut him in camp if he didn't get the message. Coaches should be building an offense around Brady not making him play receiver and then throw 40 times a game.

Start by using the pieces you have to build the best roster you possible can. Not convinced we do that in the slightest, but let's actually put the best team we can on the field and see where it's at. There's no universe where Cobb is one of the best Canadians on the team and needs to be a starter always and forever.

explain.... because I disagree on some levels of this. Yes there was a lack of execution by some players for sure however there's lots of things we CAN point to the coaches needing to do better as well, including putting players, and the team in a position to succeed. Here's one glaringly obvious example of a coaching decision we can criticize..... why the **** are we trying a 58 yard field goal at that point in the game? That wound up being 7 points for Calgary and a bunch of momentum when we actually have a punter that can pin a team deep and who knows from there.

I can't disagree with this enough.... They had a few good moments run blocking but they were not good on the whole. Sad thing is he was worse....

Because when you don't get time in the pocket and your receivers aren't running routes to challenge the secondary where the **** is he supposed to go with the ball? not even ******* close.... did you see the left side of the offensive line getting caved in every bloody play and the right side being hit or miss to get a block... did you see our receivers getting thrown into heavy coverage play after play after play when none of them have the ability to make a contested catch? No Brown was the least of the problems on offense. Like imagine if Collaros was out there for that... he might have died on the field. what do you think would have happened with collaros in there tonight? you think he wouldn't have been carted off after holding the ball forever when the OL immediately disintegrates? Like **** Stanley Bryant was on his ass most of the game.

No reason we shouldn't have been able to dig up the kind of receivers we needed to round out the group down south.

I love Brady but I don't know that he's the best RB in the league. He is maybe the most complete RB but not sure he is the best

My theory is teams are using a lot more American OL and it's helping since the trend going back a few years is DLs kicking the **** out of offensive lines.

This can be applied to DT a lot.... I mean good in him for looking at a lot of different things but I find he speaks with entirely too much certainty about what his numbers say when it's not always so cut and dried.
