  1. Kylo Ren killing his master is absolutely a great plot idea, the problem is you can't rush it like they did, you can't throw away the back story like he did because without the backstory then it just becomes meaningless. Rian Johnson failed on a basic story telling level with this movie period.
  2. Yup, sounds like a director too high on himself to understand what the story was actually about. When you are making a sequel you have to play by the rules laid out in the first movie. You can't just decide that "no I don't like that story"
  3. I don't know about that, seems he's always cutting a veteran DB to save money, he turfed Denmark the first time because he made too much money, he didn't keep Euclid Cummings last year cause the performance wasn't up to the pay scale. Wasted no time moving Drew Willy when he lost his job to Nichols. I think there are plenty of examples of Walters moving on from guys without hesitation if they aren't earning their money.
  4. I just don't see how a guy who has missed so much time can ask for and get a big salary. Especially from Kyle Walters who is ruthless about ditching veterans he deems are paid too much for what they bring.
  5. give teams 2 challenges but stop letting them challenge PI problem solved.
  6. He's better than decent when he's on the field. Wild is a damned good player, the only problem for him has been staying healthy, and if he's getting paid a smaller amount then at worst he's great depth.
  7. Actually if you notice I generally throw in lots of vague statements which provides ample room to backtrack out of things should the need arise. Yeah I argue, yeah I take positions some people don't make, but I rarely make statements that are as definitive as you did with the "they're throwing assistants under the bus"
  8. the difference is that I am not making statements like you and passing them off as fact. I know that I don't know, you are quite different.
  9. Yes we will see what happens next year and yes the D does need to improve, but none of that has anything to do with your claims that they're throwing assistants under the bus and absolving blame from Hall. I'd say that with O'Shea indicating he will be more involved that is a pretty big "on notice" to Hall.
  10. and where have they said it was the assistants fault? You're the one making that claim and no offense, but you have no clue the reason why there are changes with a couple assistants. Hell I'd bet that one of them is purely to get Younger on board.
  11. and when did that happen? Just because they didn't bring a couple assistants back does not mean they are blaming them for the D problems. But hey, you're welcome to keep jumping to the conclusions to justify your hate of Ritchie Hall.
  12. I think it's incorrect to say he's too loyal, I would say he is more patient than loyal. He sees the good Hall brings (and a guy with Halls experience clearly does bring some good things) and is willing to be patient.
  13. You get over looked in favour of Lefevour who was even worse in the game they both got to play then yeah the team has shown the confidence they have in you. Kind of disgraceful if you ask me. You make it seem like he's the guy you're grooming and then one bad performance in a game where the entire offense was flatter than the province of Saskatchewan and the guy is riding the pine... How do you come back from that?
  14. Wait for October to roll around?
  15. when was the last time a guy actually got hurt running a sneak? I wouldn't worry about anyone getting hurt doing that. More likely to get hurt standing in the pocket than doing the short yardage stuff.
  16. There is definitely lots of blame to go around. The simple fact is that Kyle Walters likes to spend his high draft picks on the offensive and defensive line and we've got at this point 3 maybe 4 starters out of those positions. Either those high draft picks gotta start playing and get us up to 4 or 5 guys between the two or they gotta start making picks at other positions with the high picks.
  17. I would unfortunately think that a renegotiated deal is coming pretty quick for Collaros, but hey here's to hoping they pay him the assload of money he's owed in this contract.
  18. I don't know why everyone was convinced he wasn't coming back to start with. There was no indication that he was on the hot seat from Mike O'Shea, if he was going to be fired it was never going to happen quickly and the most likely scenario was always that he got another season.
  19. You don't have to look very hard to find people disliking this movie, and that includes both huge Star Wards nerds or people who are more casual fans of the series. Hell Noeller has never watched a Star Wars movie and about the only thing he knows about The Last Jedi is that the reaction has been negative. So if you are unaware that it's not universally loved you have got to be living under a rock. Honestly it's problems all come down to poor writing and directing. I don't know a lot about Rian Johnson but based purely on this movie I would say that he is completely unprepared to take on a blockbuster like this. JJ Abrams did a much better job with The Force Awakens. I would have liked to see what he did with the story he set up, because it's obvious that continuing that story wasn't important to the people who made this movie.
  20. I disagree with this. Lucas wrote some super clunky dialogue, but the plot and story was actually pretty cohesive. I don't expect Oscar worthy screen writing, but I expect them to actually follow the basics of story telling. You know, things like show don't tell, don't waste time on useless things. Develop characters properly. Those are things the original movies did well that this movie did not do. I mean in the original Star Wars movies no one had to constantly talk about how bad ass Darth Vader was, we saw it on screen multiple times. Whereas Kylo Ren, his power is talked about far more than it is ever shown. Just one example. It is possible to point out the flaws in this movie without it simply being dismissed because you like the movie. This is a flawed movie and everyone who knows anything about making movies will agree with that.
  21. You don't need to be some kind of genius to have made that movie good. Hell you can even keep most of the basic points that were in the movie and churned out a good one, but you can not be as lazy as they were with the writing. It's like the only people that they actually tried to have any kind of real character development for were Rey and Kylo, and if that's where they want to focus things that's fine, but then why did we waste so much of the movie with other characters that could have been cut from the movie without anything ever changing?
  22. That is really a big issue with the movie. It feels like it is not connected to what TFA started at all. Just threw out everything that was set up in that film.
  23. It's not whining or nerd rage to point out poor writing. That's my big gripe with the movie. Could have been a really good movie but lazy writing held it back and made the first two thirds of the movie pretty lame and it only saved itself to me with a good ending.
  24. I saw that tweet this morning and wondered how long it would be before someone brought it up here to properly mock it.
  25. The sad reality is that most fans are completely stupid. I'd find a lot of Bomber fans insufferable too if I wasn't a Bomber fan myself.
