  1. but if they didn't have a kicker who can hit consistently from 45 yards or better they'd probably punt more and with how good the cover teams are maybe they'd get either more turnovers or just keep tilting the field position to the point where eventually they do get the points anyway. So many moving pieces in football it's impossible to say that without this it's this.
  2. but some teams take more care of the ball and don't let the other team get those take aways. Calgary is one such team. It's a two way street, the Bombers take advantage but Calgary doesn't give teams as many chances to take the ball away. I mean the Stamps certainly aren't going to make risky gambles in dumb situations on 3rd down as one example.
  3. Perhaps trusting in their ability to develop young qbs behind Ray, seeing as they did it with Harris and Collaros. Sticking with the vet isn't a mistake, especially when they did make good offers to keep Harris and he opted to leave anyway.
  4. Wally let Reilly go to stick with Lulaly, let's all laugh at him too implying that he knows jack about qbs too right? Or how about the Esks dynasty letting qb after qb move on
  5. only in a Lapolice offense. Why try and score TDs when we can just line up for field goals?
  6. What do you consider an average kicker though? Cause Medlock isn't the only guy to make a majority of his kicks and I don't really see him as being the difference really. The difference is the depth the team now has where injuries aren't making it impossible to compete because the guys coming off the bench are a a clear step down.
  7. The players who will be cut from my team beat the players who wil be cut from your team!!! YOU SUCK!!!
  8. yeah I am assuming Dressler just needs a break from carrying the passing game on his back.
  9. The first time the team has had depth MOS is killing it as a coach, not a coincidence. Both of Walters and O'Shea have stepped up this season and you can see the plan coming together. We got depth seemingly everywhere on the roster now and where as in years past injuries would have crippled this team, now we really can just go next man up and not expect a significant drop off in play.
  10. i am curious about this choice, please explain
  11. Burris and Glenn at qb for extended periods will do that though. BLM is less of a choker, just had to contend with some other pretty good teams lately. Edmonton last year had a real tough D.
  12. yet they still only have 2 more wins than the Bombers do. It's time as Bomber fans to realize that our team is actually one of the best teams in the league too.
  13. The key to me is for the offence to actually stay on the field and don't give the Stamps offense all the chances they want to score points. Put some drives together and keep the ball away from the Stamps and you don't need to worry about if they can force enough turnovers out of BLM.
  14. I would say that with only one team with a better record and the Lions with the same points and a game in hand that we are already at the big kids table.
  15. **** the Riders but it's good for the Bombers to have the Esks drop back further. I don't care how I just want playoffs for the Bombers.
  16. Of course they can win, but it'll be tough and they'll need to be firing on all cylinders to do it.
  17. He got the easier job last year while washington took the hard matchups. Make no mistake he was never as good as washington.
  18. You get 3 different GMs in that time you're going to get a lot of qbs. They all want to bring in their own guys. Especially considering that Kelly left em with absolute nothing at the position. Montreal is quickly catching up ever since Calvillo retired though.
  19. Dude Johnson has been doing the matador tackling all season long. He has had a couple good games but mostly he's been underwhelming. Do you think the Bombers would have insisted on Heath in the Willy trade if they felt Johnson was playing great football?
  20. I still say Mack could find talented players, where he sucked was finding the right coaches. Lapo wanted robots who never took chances and Burke wanted guys to go under the bus. With all the turmoil surrounding that team I don't think anyone at the qb position really got a fair shake.
  21. I don't think unsung hero is the right term cause everyone at the time talked about what a great add he was for the team, trouble was he wasn't here very long being as old as he was.
  22. You also have most of the company HQs in Calgary as opposed to say Edmonton so there is a lot more money (well there used to be) in the city and a lot more white collar types than comparable prairie cities. Plus you get people from the low rungs of society suddenly making more money than they ever should have been trying to act like they aren't lower class people and that is really annoying.
