Manitoba Government needs to get ready and open at least another super site in Winnipeg, with the age qualification going down more and more younger people will be eligible and having 1 downtown location was a bad idea, the placement of that super site has also affected older folks especially ones with mobility issues from getting the vaccine.

Yeah, my office is a block away from the convention centre. It's been a virtual traffic jam trying to get to the convention centre, cars coming from every direction. My wife got the shot on Sunday, thank goodness she could use my parking space. They need to come up with a better plan.

She went to Vegas in the middle of the campaign thinking she would lose.

She was NDP and actually turned out to be pretty good at it once she got in, and got reelected. The story usually leaves out that part of it.

She won reelection in the 2015 federal election with a larger vote share despite her party falling from second to third place nationally

I love this circular arguement. Trump is responsible for deaths in the states not the actual state government. Yet in Canada the provincial government is responsible for the deaths and not Trudeau. So why is that the blue states have twice the death rate as red states? How did Trump pull that off?

I'm not really crazy about going down this rabbit hole of an argument, but it's clear that blue states are more urban, more densely populated. Trump also flat out admitted that he would provide assistance to red states, and not so much blue states. If that isn't "blood on his hands" I don't know what is. If you aren't looking at the whole picture, then you aren't getting the whole story.

Trump in an interview said that outright- he said that if gerrymandering and voter suppression ended, they (the GOP) would never get back into power again. This terrifies the GOP, so they are now focusing on state governments. The thinking is that if they control the state governments, they can then use those to disqualify correctly appointed electors and nominate pliable electors in defiance of the voters' will. With enough GOP judges in place, this is a real possibility.

That's such a huge flaw in the system. How individual states get to determine who votes, where their vote counts and how they vote in a federal election boggles my mind.

This is one of Trump new lawyers, last ones left because they wanted to much money, so apparently the public doesn't needs to see Trump's and his enablers juicing up the crowd because Trump is a peaceful man.

Well at least that's consistent with the MAGAts- refuse to look at the evidence, but believe wild theories that have zero basis. At this point, they don't even want or care about the truth or facts.

  6. Two big things to be seen before I decide who won the trade;

Do Laine and PLD sign with their new teams? My guess is we'll have a lot better chance with PLD's dad around. Laine could very well still be on the move and a rental for CBJ

When they sign long term, how much? Sounds like Laine is gonna be expecting a huge payday, and he'll get it get it somewhere because of the "flashiness". PLD may very well be a better value . Could we have fit Laine's contact and keep key pieces? I doubt it.

It is pretty bogus. A tattoo is about as non-essential as a thing can be, but tattoo parlors (any good ones) are as sterile as a dentist's office. If Canadian Tire gets to sell pup tentsand BMXs in the middle of winter.... why can't this guy tattoo butterflies on ankles?

That's just it. You can't tell me 1000's of people a day going through a Walmart, Costco, or Canadian tire is safer than being in a small store, or an establishment such as this that already had stringent protocols in place. Restaurants and bars (or family gatherings) I get- they've been proven to be spreaders. That's what I've seen and heard from a lot of people that are pissed off about the lockdown. It's not often that they deny, it's a hoax, or what ever, it's that the decisions made seem so arbitrary, do not appear to be with thoughts to actually protect the community, and favour large corporations over smaller workplaces.

I did like that guy's response though. He certainly didn't come off as being entitled or above the law.

I don't know... these people are deplorable, but in many ways, also victims. These people are responsible for their actions ultimately- but their choices are manipulated and funneled through their echo chamber bubble. Just give it a try, try and do a 72 hour media diet of the alt right, you will start to question a lot of reality. The controversial garbage they spew, is really what they believe- to their core. For example- how would you feel if you truly believed that your election was really stolen, that your vote was deleted and your voice taken away. Say Harper was installed by really dodgey means and in corrupt AF ways... Then stoked that ager 24/7 by the media you come to trust... Just saying, what happened was tragic and we need to really address the source of all this ****.

i am not trying to excuse her actions and so forth, I am just trying to spotlight that she is a symptom of the real problem.

I know exactly what you mean. I dip my toes in there just to try to see their perspective, and I can only last a few minutes before I say to myself, "WTF is going on? Where does that come from?" Scary how many people apparently immerse themselves in that. It's not as hard to see how Nazi Germany got to where they were, or other instances.

  9. For Strev, I think it would have made a big difference if the team knew right away he'd have to play significant minutes. The coaches can game plan around his strengths, and he could get 1st team reps. you see that everywhere, starter goes down, back up and team have to go in there and try to adjust.

The Rams back up got that when they knew Goff would be out. Murray went down early in the game, huge difference. Not to mention that Rams D looking for some juicy stats when Murray went down.

    To quote the article:

"So far, 16 tickets have been sworn and more are expected to be handed out to people who took part in a large protest against COVID-19 measures on Nov. 14 in Steinbach."

Glad that has changed and they are starting to hand out fines. I think the protest and subsequent fall out forced the province's hand. Hopefully that $$ goes into health care.

And yet no one was fined. The province is putting all this talk into enforcement but when people know they aren't going to enforce it, it's just useless talk. When they only fined one person at the rally, the Organizer, their inaction spoke volumes.

Until they start holding people accountable that are clearly and knowingly violating orders nothing is gonna change.

Sometimes I watch videos of Obama dropping in on places and openly mingle and joke with crowds to remind myself how a decent President acts, whether you agree with him or not.
